NOW SOLD (26/07/18)
So, very reluctantly, I am offering my low mileage Rover 600 for sale. I've seen another car I want (what's new?!), but if the 600 doesn't sell, I'll not be disappointed, and I'll keep it. It's a great car, quite rare now, and I'd be more than happy to keep it.
1998 Rover 618 (Honda engine, so no Rover head gasket worries)
Good bits:
44,500 miles (MOT history verifies the low mileage)
MOT until 19th April 2019 (zero advisories on last MOT)
New battery in March
Two new front tyres
Full cream leather interior
The best blue colour, shines up nicely
Couple of boxes of spares to go with the car (alternator, starter motor, rear light clusters and more)
Drives superbly. Smooth, classy, quiet and refined. Well, it is a Rover!
Not so good bits:
Radio is the original but needs a code (can be obtained off ebay I believe)
Offside rear quarter window must have been broken, and replaced by perspex. An original replacement has been sourced and is included with the car.
Nearside front electric window doesn't work (driver side does work - keep fit windows in the back)
Slight knocking from front o/s corner (bush? drop link?)
Isolated rust hole at bottom of n/s rear arch (not structural, and sills are solid)
A few scratches and bumper scuffs
Aircon "needs a re-gas"
That might look like a long 'bad' list, but there's nothing major on there.
The front NS wing had a big dent in it. I've managed to pull out the majority of it. This was the big dent...
and it's now much smaller...
Lovely looking car though. Weren't they acknowledged as being the nicest looking car of the 90's or something? In someone's opinion...
I bought the car in about November last year. It popped up on my Facebook locally, and was being sold by the daughter of the last owner, her mother, who had sadly passed away. She didn't want the car sat outside, which it had done for six months, and wanted it to go to a good home. Someone who would look after it, fix a few bits and pieces, and get it looking as it once had. I couldn't really refuse. I've loved the 600's since I borrowed my company directors car for a weekend back in about 1996. Loved how refined and quiet they were. There's lots of photos of my progress with it in my Readers Rides thread here...

For the MOT, it needed a new CV joint, two tyres on the front and two replacement orange repeater bulbs. The MOT guy said it was lovely to see how solid the sills and the underneath were.
Car is in Saltburn-By-The-Sea in North Yorkshire (TS12), but I'll help with meeting halfway, picking up from train stations or airports etc.
I'm asking£750 £600, but open to sensible offers

Thanks for looking.
