I don't think they are related at all to the Daihatsu and they look quite different? Or did you get a different model Charade over there? I'm not too sure now, maybe I'll have to try and find a charade and park next to it but to me at the very least the boot lid looks identical. And not forgetting how camera angle and a wide angle lens can make things look entirely different. For example, although the rear pillar looks like it is just as thick at the top as it is at the bottom, it does have a taper to it similar to that of the charade. I'll see if I can get a better rear end photo! The number plate is in a different location and the fuel flaps are on opposite sides... similar but not the same

The number plate is in a different location and the fuel flaps are on opposite sides... similar but not the same I thought that about the fuel filler, but then I realised the above image is actually mirrored, so would be on the same side in the original photo. The thing that does make me think they're different from that view is the filler panels around the bottom of the lights, and just how much of a curve there is inward on the bottom of the doors.

With the Suzuki now fully taking over daily duties, I've not had much time to fiddle. But having driven the thing for a while I've really got to feel it and learn it. The tyres need upgrading, while they seem to grip in the wet, on a dry road they don't inspire much confidence. This will probably happen when the wheels get a refurb as they will need to come off for that anyway. I have all new service parts on order from the Suzuki garage that has looked after it from new and they will be installed as and when I get them. The recent rain meant I wasn't out in the field harvesting, however, the recent rain meant I wasn't out on the drive tinkering When there was a break in the rain I decided to have a look in the boot. A few trim clips had come loose and some even disappeared. I started by finding one of the trim clips still in the seat but not holding the fabric down. This was quickly removed, looked at, and re-installed correctly. I found another cheeky one under the carpet in the boot and reattached that, but at this point am still missing one. I then pulled up the carpet to reveal a spare that may have never been used. And below that a load of junk. Not sure why, considering people don't load their boots with mud and gravel, but it seems the spare wheel wells are always full of dirt and grit and gravel? Amongst the dirt I found something that looked like it had a Harley Davidson Motorcycles badge on it, brushing it over revealed an eagle as well. Not sure what it is, or how it ties into the one elderly lady owner from new story but an interesting little thing to find anyway. When it's not raining I will get in there with a Hoover and pull all the junk out and give the rear of the interior a damn good clean too. I also looked at cleaning the throttle body but there is a mesh to stop large debris getting in, and with the few basic tools I had, it stopped me getting in. And with that it started raining again so I stopped there. Hoping to get more done soon, and when payday comes around it may be time for new tyres and wheel refurbishments.

Didn't you see the little old ladies Harley in the corner of the garage?

The thought had occurred to me! Not sure I'd have enough talent to keep it on its wheels though
