Yikes! As scooby doo would say, certainly a bit scary looking that one! Never seen one in that spec but my grandad had the manual one when new for a wee while, certainly shifted!

Ran this one a few years ago. Paid £600, It had done 150,000 miles. 3 years use including regularly towing the racer and it only cost me a scrapyard alternator, a bit of welding to the rear end of the sills and a couple of tyres. Still got £300 for it when it had to go.

Went to look at one today - minter for 130k! Wouldn't start though. Spark was arcing at the dizzy cap so doubt it was serious - looked too small for the family, too. Always thought they looked cool.

A friend had one and he front driveshaft snapped in half. Common problem, (and on Civics) its where the rubber damper is half way down the shaft, water sits between rubber and shaft and they rust away until they are too thin to handle the torque! I actually sleeved it and welded it back together as i couldn't get one for it.

What you all need in your life is a MK1 Mitsubishi Pajero... Now that's a real 4x4 from Dakar rally winning heritage. Not these plastic wannabees... Tbf the HRV's are supposed to be pretty reliable but a 1.6 would be a bit gutless with that weight no?

They aren't that heavy, they drive nice. Much better on fuel than a Pajero.

They aren't that heavy, they drive nice. Much better on fuel than a Pajero. They will be better on fuel with a 1.6 compared to a 3ltr v6 though. I didn't really Ignis made one either, I bet it's a good little 4x4. The new Suzuki looks pretty cool as well tbf.
