I bought this car a few years ago off Damien Halliwell, who I think is probably the person who Alistair remembers owning it, as he was a member of the Victor owners club.

I sold it on after a couple of years, used to bump into the lad I sold it too at the Riverside Rod and Custom cruise nights. He was doing a lot of bodywork to it. Had replaced the rear arches and opened the back doors up. He was also giving it a few custom touches like putting the few filler in the back panel, kind of like an early Mustang I guess. Didn't actually see him around at all this year, hopefully he's still working on it and its not really dead!

No, I did have an early 1600 that was purple, sold that to a mate who fitted a 2 ltr Pinto and used it has his daily for a while. He has sold that on and I think it is getting V8'ed.

Both cars are still in the Black Country somewhere, just not sure where.

I had a ton of old Vauxhall stuff I just junked when we moved house as I was "done with that curse word". If I'd have known about this place then... I might still have stuff like "Bill Blydenstien builds a 2.6 litre stroker FE Victor..." or it may have been recycled.

Not sure what the copyright situation would be but, meh, anyway....

More hunting and scanning later if I get chance.

The silver FD estate HGC 406J was one of Davie Toole's cars. I've got a few pics of it from '93 and it looked exactly the same, so your guess of early nineties for that shot could well be bang on.

Not sure where or why though.

I used to own the Tasman Orange VX4 /90 MGJ314L in the foreground, anyone know where it is now? It's still one of the best cars I've ever owned to this day!
