We were just discussing a wagon/Jeep and yes- perfect for this! If anyone would like to hear the truck running, spitting a little snow- along with beers and nonsense:

Outstanding work. Its mind blowing not just what you achieve, but how quickly you get that stuff done, and the quality of the end result. Keep this stuff coming.

First mock up yesterday with the bed sides. I had it too high. I'll move it today and see what I can come up with on it. The bed makes the front track width seem ludicrous... Pics late tonight.

Final ride height is not yet attained. I have lots of weight to go into the rear yet.

How much did you have to take off the rear?

Stubby Buttt? How much did you have to take off the rear? From the jeep itself, none. I took 3 inches off the back of the Durango frame to allow for the jeep bed to drop over it.. But the thing that makes it weird (at least to me) is the fact that I moved the rear fenders rearward, to make the wheel base work. It does throw off the look a little. I was thinking that I'd add four inches to the front section of the bed, but it's much easier to just move the wheel arch.
Now, I also have yet to get the final ride height worked out in the rear. I'm going to park it outside a few days and let it tell me what it wants. And listen to you guys. Keep in mind I'm cheap and this needs to be gone in like 2 weeks ish.
When you look at it from the side view, it just seems odd.

looks almost like left and right bedsides were swopped They are reversible. You can run a left side on the right and vice versa. I had to go back to the beginning of this thread to see if I had them on right! They are the same way I got it.
They stamped both fenders from the same die to reduce steel production costs by maintaining only one stamping.
Is my guess anyway.

could do with a full square side view....but my best guess is that's its short on rear overhang making it look "dumpy"?
is the difference in track from front to rear as noticeable in the flesh as it appears in the pics? would your local regs allow a set of spacers on the rear to even it up visually?

Yep. Short, dumpy- haha- I think I may have dated a bird like that.... haha..
Yes, the track width in the front looks crazy in person. It's because the front of the jeep narrows so drastically. Yes, we can use spacers. I was thinking I could put some rear spacers on it, that would even out the look of it, somewhat.
The guy that owns the truck- he is doing the wheels and tires himself, so that will be awesome to see what he does with it.
I've got lots to do- But tonight is some sort of Ugly sweater party...

Alrighty then! The rear fenders are hanging on with only one bolt- so it gives the impression that the rear wheel isn't centered in the opening- But they are, and they will look right when I permanently affix the fenders. So- This is basically the "look" it will have, for the road test. The front is getting a fabricated two tube bumper that will contour to the front of the jeep. It will be similar to the last Studebaker Hemi truck, but this will have 2 two inch tubes, one on top of the other and will more accurately match the pointed grill. The tubes will come close to the front wheels, making the front arch look more symmetrical. Again- the rear wings are not bolted in yet- they will be centered.

I know everything is in the correct place, but the rear arches and the entire truck would look so much better if the gap from tyre to arch was the same at the rear as the front?? That rear view is bitchin. Is a rear roll pan in the plan?

The bed floor isn't in yet- that is going to ad weight and it will come down some.. Plus- the guy that owns it, told me not to take the rear down any more, because he is going to turn up the torsion keys in the front, raising it higher. He has a vision for it, I'm just following directions, not sure what he's got in mind. Wheels and tires are going to be the deal maker, whatever those end up looking like. In stock form, the rear was higher than the front. I know most people level them out, when they transplant them on another chassis- It looks better than I thought it was going to. The rear roll pan is my plan- although he has a giant bumper he's going to put on it. More weight. He's going to fabricate a new rear bumper mount and trailer hitch setup. My roll pan will be small.
