2018 pumpkins. Update: its 2022 already?

Just how big a deal is Halloween in the UK nowadays? I'm aware that it originated there but here in New Zealand it is widely seen as an American thing being imported and pushed hard by the retail trade as an excuse to sell cheap costumes and too many sweets.

The shops try to push it onto people more every year, I have spotted a few houses this year that have put lots of decorations up which I haven’t seen in previous years,

I think most people with kids will get them a pumpkin and most nursery’s get the kids to dress up.

I think it’s getting bigger every year over here now.

Much the same over here very forced but an excuse to go crazy with the carving.

Unfortunately not really, SWMBO is arty in general but Halloween is a favourite.
