1994 Peugeot 205 Sceptre TD
Mileage - 115k
Price £500
Location - near Bourne Lincs
MOT - June 2019
This is far from perfect, the pics flatter it. There are dents here and there and a bit of bubbling on the nsf wing. It has had a couple of patches welded in the past for the MOT, boot floor and offside sill.
The engine pulls well, and it goes very well when the turbo comes on. There is a bit of lag with the turbo (I always thought that they should have used a smaller turbo on these) but it's a nice kick when the turbo comes in.
A new horn button was wired in for the MOT and the rear heated window is not working. There is possibly some dodgy wiring in there somewhere, but nothing that stops the car from being used.
Both front wishbones have been replaced this year as well as a drop link and TRE. There is a spare drop link and TRE included, the garage that fitted the last wishbone said they weren't needed.
The engine has a Lucas pump, so it is not massively veg friendly if you wanted to go that route.
The central locking works on all 4 doors, but not the boot.
If I was keeping the car I'd sort a few bits:
The wiring for the horn and rear screen.
The tracking could probably do with being looked at, it wasn't done after the new track rod end was fitted, however the car drives straight and doesn't pull to either side.
The tyres are all legal but mis-matched budgets.
The price is firm, if you want a pristine example please look elsewhere.
Consider this a usable daily that could be improved.
