thought i'd start a thread on my latest acquisition, an early base spec TYP19 Mk2, found whilst scouring the RR classifieds.
Some pictures prior to taking delivery (minus the Renault 19 wheels) -
Currently fitted with an early AGU 1.8T 20v, it's been dormant for a few years and needs going through / parts of the engine swap finishing.
The immediate plan is to get it sorted mechanically (16v 256mm brakes / swapping out the coilovers / go through the wiring) and get it on the road in the next couple of months.
Any sort of budget is pretty much non-existant atm, so it'll be made up of Mk2 parts I already have & things I find on my workshop floor
It's currently at the cleaning out / stripping down stage, but hopefully i'll be able to post some much more interesting progress pics in the next few weeks.
Long term plan (if I decide to keep it) is sorted the exterior (a new drivers door, some wings and paint) and drop this in it -
An AAA 12v 2.8 VR6 Turbo I currently have sat in pieces (pictured in another shell I had to scrap). Cashflow and life in general will make this a long, distant dream I predict
