Hi all got a few hours on the camper earlier. I was supposed to be walking around Ingleton but decided to give a miss due to the weather and the bank holiday madness out and about. The passenger side rear quarter panel is now carpet lined and fully fitted and the passenger side rear door is finished. I have to tidy up the paintwork as it was pretty battle scarred. Also spent an hour realigning the sliding door as you had to give a good slam to get it to latch and often it sprung back open.It was mainly due to the top runner being miles out and the rear striker plate being loose.Anyways it now shuts as it should and sits properly. Tomorrow should see the carpet lining around the kitchen window, cab step and top rear of the roof done and hopefully the flooring down. Cheers - mike

Mike, that looks amazing! Does the carpet over the wheel wells come formed? Or do you do it and if so, how? Thanks Hi there the carpet for the wheel wells just comes flat of the roll and you have to stretch / form it yourself as you apply it. If you use 4 way stretch its not to hard if you have done a few. Cheers - mike

Hi all
got a few hours on the camper this morning,
I have fitted the split charge relay and wiring. Its now been tested and is working fine so I can refit the battery cover and flooring.
A common fault on these vans is for the heater fan to only work on full and this van was now exception so I have pulled the heater resistor and replaced it. I also had to repair the main feed wire as it was showing signs of distress.
Whilst under the bonnet I have also changed the air and fuel filter as part on the service so just the engine oil and filter to do later. I was pleasantly surprised to see both the fuel and air filter had been done pretty recently.
I hope to get the flooring down on the rear of the van later and have a tidy up as I'm going over to Cleethorpes in her tomorrow to collect some furniture board.
Cheers - mike

hi all got the flooring cut and installed the rear is now fully fitted and has had edging fitted. The area around the step needs to be cut and then finished with edging. I also finished the install of the camera system by adding a hidden 12volt outlet in the unoccupied passenger air bag space. I need to do a few jobs underneath tomorrow before going over to Cleethorpes. The wiring for the split charge supply to the leisure batter needs routing and securing and the captivated nuts for the rear door striker plates need replacing. Thursday should see the rock and roll bed bolted together and in position and the kitchen unit should be started. Cheers - mike

Hi all got some more done on the camper but nit as much as I had hoped as I spent most the morning with a customer. When I removed the rear door striker plates to carpet the step all the captivated nuts broke loose so I have had to spend an hour sorting them out.I also repainted the latches and refitted them. On the plus side the rear doors now shut much better. I have carpeted around the side window, insulated the area thats behind the upper rear quarter panel, made the kitchen rear panel and refitted the rear quarter panel trim. Thats about it for today as i have a quiche to make for tea. Cheers - mike

Hi all
not done a huge amount over the last few days as the weather has turned cold and wet and my arthritis has flared up.
All the wiring is fitted for the 12v systems, the mains lead and home adapter lead are made, the battery box is made and a few bits have been tided up.
The weather looks lousy now for a few days so nit a lot will get done.
Cheers - mike

Hi all
Not much to update on the camper as I'm away in Rhodes. I should have it finished within a week when I get back. The next one will be a high spec conversion on a Fiat Ducati and that may be my last one for a while as i'm due to move sometime in June and the new place needs lots of work.
Cheers Mike

Hi all got a few hours on the camper today I have finalised the fit and shape of the worktop. Its quite a bit bigger than the previous versions as i'm fitting a larger sink than usual. I have made and finessed the fit of the wardrobe end panel so that just leaves the other end panel and the wardrobe front. I should get the work top laminated in the morning ready for the edging to be fitted and hopefully tomorrow afternoon should see the last panels and doors made. Cheers - mike

Hi all got another few hours on the camper today after going to the tip and going to vote. The kitchen worktop is now finished along the the rear wardrobe panel and door. So that just leaves the wardrobe front panel and door left to do before the final fit up. Next job is to add the pocket holes to the kitchen front panel and worktop and then these can be fitted for good. Once they are in I can measure up for the wardrobe front panel and finalise the size of the door. Cheers - mike

Hi all
got a bit more done,
the table mount is now fitted to the table and the floor. Thats about it now apart from fitting the water pump and waste pipe. I won't fit the waste pipe until the van is sold as some people want a waste container in the van and others want it routed out through the floor. She will get a full valet tomorrow and maybe a polish.
Got a few minutes on the blue van. I have applied some more graphics and flatted and machine polished the front wing and head light.
Cheers - mike
