Hi, I'm of an age when I can remember it being broadcast on the TV. If we did put wide wheels or did any mods to the cars the mickey taking we received from non car people or older generation revolved around the term 'Carlos Fandango' and it used to wear thin after a while.

Quality. Ive always been aware of the phrase, dad used it to describe something 'posh' or 'flash' I assumed Carlos Fandango was some sort of flamboyant dancer, but I guess this advert is where it originates from. No wonder people look at me sideways when I use the term 'Thats a bit Carlos Fandango'casualy to mean 'Thats a bit flash'.

My better half does... mentions it everytime I take a second bite at a parking space instead of just 'dumping' the car across two bays like she does. 
No idea if this is significant or not

Ah... I understand, non PC safety films for the win.
I do love a good 'safety' film... none of this watered down stuff which fails to impart the seriousness of the message.
The 'Carlos' always appealed to me...so much I went and bought the basics...
