Oh knowledgeable people, Just received some new wheels, I ordered 4 x 100 pcd, apparently its a secret that they actually supply 4 x 101.6 drilled out and a set of wobble nuts (not happy about that)
I believe wobble bolts / nuts are all fine and dandy, based on internetland, but, the vehicle they are going on has nothing to center them at the rear, the brake drum is flat - my brain says this cant be a good idea, whats the consensus on this ?
TIA

If I had ordered 4x100 I would want 4x100! If there is nothing to centre the wheel properly I wouldnt be too keen on using them personally, are you going to name and shame?

If there's nothing to centre them they won't work so definitely don't do that. I'd complain and get your money back.

If you've bought new then you have the rights to demand your money back or the correct parts.

Thanks all, really confirms my thoughts.
I'm happy to name and shame - but would rather check I'm not going to upset the forum gods
It really bugged me, nothing on the website to say I wouldnt be getting what I ordered, no email before they were sent. I spoke to the supplier, asked why there was nothing on the website to say they wouldnt be what I ordered and the reply was 'yea, sorry about that', which helps massively, no really.
looks like I'm wheel hunting again.
thanks again

Could you possibly add a lip to the drums to make them work with the wheels?

Could you possibly add a lip to the drums to make them work with the wheels? I think the only option I would be happy with is to create a spacer / adapter with a spigot ring - but ultimately they arent what I ordered I think the chap I spoke to was called John, possibly John Brown, didnt realise until I googled the connection with a wheel selling company in the midlands (guessing thats who you mean)

Yes, there’s a connection there, they trade under a few names depending on who they’re selling to. You’re not the first to be caught out by their reluctance to tell the truth about what they’re actually selling. Personally I’d send em back rather than try to engineer your way round a problem that shouldnt exist.

Much as I didnt like to bump this, I thought I should close it out. When I spoke to them again, much as they tried and tried to convince me they would be fine I requested a return. I had to give them a gentle prod to sort the refund but it arrived - so all sorted

It's a strange one - normally you'd struggle (relatively) to get "proper" 4x4" PCD wheels, yet here's a place that send them even when you don't want then.

It's always good to read some good news. Is it really good news though? Somebody orders something, gets supplied with something else, sold as close enough, then has to return and get a refund. Sounds like crappy customer service to me. All too common now.

If they really had really dragged there feet you could have had them on the trade descriptions act .
Very sneaky , i wonder if its so they don't have to stock more lines or because they had run out .. either way its wrong .

Sounds like crappy customer service to me. All too common now. Both are right, good that they grudgingly sorted it, curse word that it happened in the first place - maybe some strange way to try and get rid of stock If they really had really dragged there feet you could have had them on the trade descriptions act . Very sneaky , i wonder if its so they don't have to stock more lines or because they had run out .. either way its wrong . I'm pretty sure they knew this, so their best option was to try and convince me all would be well - the sad thing is its probably normal practice for them Shocking way of selling wheels! Glad you got refund! Now I wonder if I order some 4x98's they would send me 4x95.25's?😁 I think you should try - run a book on what you'll receive, could be a nice little earner
