So a the beginning of the year, a friend of mine mentioned to me that he knew a guy selling an old Datsun.
Turns out this old datsun has already been on Retro Rides forum quite a long time ago where it was in need of a lot of welding and the floor pan was needing to be recreated.
This has all since been done, ive pictures of the entire floor pan being fixed ect, and the car is pretty solid underneith
(i found this out after i saw pictures of the car for the first time and wanted to do some research as i didn't even know they made a 2 door sedan model!)
Anyways, i got in touch with the owner via my friend, who was very on the boat about selling the car. He defiantly didn't want too but he could see the enthusiasm i had with the thing and made his choice.
he gave me some time to save a bit of cash and come and buy the car off him, and i still keep in contact as hes a top guy in general tbh, had a lot of cool cars in the past!
The datsun had been stood for a bit i could tell, and not driven as often as it should have, so such as old cars, once i started daily driving it, stuff broke, things needed sorting ect which i really don't mind and it comes part and parcel with owning an old car.
The car its self hasn't changed too drastically since ive had it, i must have got it about a month ago now and all i have really done is clean it up some and sort out other small issues it had.
I picked the car up and had a minor electrical issue about 2 miles down the road however it wasn't a big deal and i was soon back up and running for the hour and a bit drive home
Also fun fact ive been told its supposedly the last b11 2 door on the road in the uk?
and after sorting the rear suspension ( i have some coilovers to go on the front just need to get some smaller front tires and tracking)
And a few up to date shots of it now its all clean ect...
The plan is to SR20 Swap it, using a donor car i have found breaking, I'm picking the following parts up in the next few weeks;
SR20de 150hp Engine
+ Manifold
+ Downpipe
+ Loom
+ ECU
SR20 Gearbox
+ clutch/flywheel
+ Drive shafts
Primera Clocks
+ Ignition barrel
+ Key
Interior Loom
Pedal Box
+brake booster
+anything else i decide i might need when i fetch the parts.
And i have already gotten these k11 micra parts to upgrade the stock b11 front end basically.
K11 Wishbones
+ Hubs
+ Calipers
+ Driveshafts
