I have just arranged an insurance policy for my Dad on Mum's retro WAV. Nissan Prairie WAVThere were issues getting quotes from a lot of insurers as the car was a modified Japanese import, is incorrectly registered on the DVLA database and can't be found, (or created), on most insurers databases. I got a few frightening quotes in on Saturday. Tried ClassicLine first thing this morning as they don't open over the weekend or have an interactive website. The process was made painless, (thanks Nicky), got an extremely competitive quote and immediately insured with them, (I didn't bother signing Dad up with RR just to get the 15% off). Based upon my experience over the past weekend, ClassicLine offers; Fantastic service. Unparalleled expertise. Unbeatable premiums. So, highly recommended!

Hi everyone, How crazy was June?! The month started with a 700 mile round trip to Hot Rods & Hills in the Lake District. A great but rather eventful weekend… rain so torrential that water leaked through every gap in the cars; swimming spark plugs in my Model Y and a broken suspension component in the Pop. You can read about what happened here. From here, it was off to the NSRA Fun Run at Rutland Showground… and you guessed it more rain! It was a tough job for the team to manage the ground conditions but they did a great job. One of our guys has taken some great photos of the event, click here to view them. The highlight of the weekend was picking and presenting the “Trick Truck Award”. We chose a 1937 Plymouth PT-50 Pick Up. Read all about this trick truck here. We stayed local for our next show, the Hinckley BID Classic Car Meet. The organisers put on a monthly meet in the town and then a big show on the 15th September. Our club of the month for July 2019 is the Box Motor Club. Based in Derbyshire, this club runs of 24 events and meets every year! Read more about them here. Finally, we caught up with one of our clients to find out more about his Cal-style 1663 VW Beetle Cabrio. Coming up, you can meet the ClassicLine team at the following events: Walsall Arboretum Classic Motor Show, 14th July Beaumanor Nostalgia Show, 28th July 3, 2019 NSRA Hot Rod Supernationals, 9-11 August Retro Rides Gathering, 18th August We leave you with a few of our June highlights 😊

July and August have been brilliant! We’ve seen so many great cars and attended plenty of events, but it’s hard to condense it all into one short post.
Here are our highlights from the past few weeks:
Top of the list has to be the Retro Rides Gathering: The event had a real buzz and friendliness to it – this is a real petrol heads show. We would like to thank the Retro Rides team for inviting us along and our only request is… can we please come along next year? Click here to view our photos. 29th NSRA Hot Rod Supernationals The NSRA Hot Rod Supernationals is an annual event that we look forward to year after year. As ClassicLine have been the official insurance partner for the NSRA for almost 25 years, we have watched this show go from strength to strength. This year’s event surely has to be the biggest yet! Click here to view our photos. Inter-Club Triumph Weekend Jointly organised by the Triumph Sports Six Club and the TR Register, this event had an action packed programme. Click here to view our photos. Spotlight On Spotlight On is our club of the month feature, highlighting clubs up and down the country. What goes on behind the scenes, their events and the good work they do for their members and the community. Recent features include the Imp Club, Surrey Street Rodders, T3 Westfalia Refuge, Leicester Phoenix Scooter Club, TIPEC and SX Dub Club. Our club of the month for August is the Victory Wheelers – Keep an eye out for September’s club feature on the Online Austin Seven Club coming soon… From Oil to Airbrush - The Story of Angelina Icon, a 1953 Ford AngliaMaxime Xavier's 1953 Ford Anglia became a canvas to showcase her artistic flair. Best known for her oil painting of Alan Turing, Maxime turned her hand to airbrushing to create an iconic custom car Click here to read the story. Summer Road Trips with Pub2Pub: Blackpool's CallingThis summer the Pub2Pub team celebrated another year of adventurous road tripping with a 750 mile round trip to Blackpool and back. 22 years after the team TVR Chimaera was made, this classic car still has it - even if the factory in Blackpool where is was built doesn't... Read more here. ClassicLine on the road! The summer show season is nearing it's end, but we still have a few more road trips to look forward to. See us at a show near you: 1 September - Classic & Retro Show, Himley Hall 8 September - Classic Motor Show, Wentworth Woodhouse 29 September - Nostalgia Show, Beaumanor Hall Feel free to come and have a chat with us to find out more about our great cover for all classic, retro and modified vehicles. Hi classiclineuk can you offer business use cover on a classic (1984 Transit) van, ideally agreed value? Thanks Hi, thanks for the question. We can usually find an insurer to cover the van for business use. However, the vehicle is being used for a commercial basis and due to this we would not be able to offer an agreed value on it. If this helps, please do give us a call on 01455 639 000 and we would be more than happy to look at a quotation for you. Many thanks

How great was this summer’s show season? The memories of weekend shows with friends, classic car cruises and summer awards presentations will be keeping us cosy all winter. We even look back fondly on those wet weekends when the show carried on regardless and we waded through show fields in our wellies (yes, there has been a few occasions this year!). So, as we move into autumn, thoughts turn to classic car maintenance, restoration projects and breakfast runs on fresh autumnal mornings. Whether you keep your classic vehicle running all through the winter, or tucked up in the garage after a service, there is always lots to do. In this latest update we bring you highlights from Sunday Scramble, celebrate a great show season with the Pride of Ownership showcase launch, warm you up with AfricanPorsche road trip tales, and find out about our invaluable laid-up cover to protect your classic this winter. Wishing you a great autumn season!Out & About: Last Sunday Scramble of 2019The autumn Sunday Scramble at Bicester Heritage has become a super-charged 'cars and coffee' style event. with classics, retro and modified vehicles turning up in their hundreds for a morning get together and a bacon roll. Live: Pride of Ownership showcaseCelebrate this summer’s show season and vote for your champion of champions in the ClassicLine Pride of Ownership showcase! Featuring the winners of this year’s Gemini Events Pride of Ownership awards, you can now nominate your favourite vehicle to CROWN the overall winner and Pride of Ownership Champion. Warm up with AfricanPorsche Road Trip MemoriesTo attempt to cross the African continent in an old Porsche is, frankly, tempting fate. But fate was exactly what Ben from Pub2Pub chose for his long suffering '944. With over 200,000 miles on the clock, its days as his everyday transport were clearly numbered; but it didn't seem right to simply sell it. One last adventure was needed. A chance to go out with a bang. This is the story of the AfricanPorsche road trip. This intoxicating read will have you on the edge of your seat as you travel with Ben through the sights of Europe and African and feel the pain of the breakdowns! Why you need Laid-Up Insurance As the season draws to a close, it's often a time when you make a start on a project in the garage, or SORN your classic off the road for some much-needed maintenance after a busy summer season of driving. But this can often be when your car is most vulnerable. Our invaluable laid-up cover will protect your unused vehicle, it's spare parts and accessories whilst they are kept in a locked garage or building. Spotlight On Spotlight On is our club of the month feature, highlighting clubs up and down the country. What goes on behind the scenes, their events and the good work they do for their members and the community. Recent features include the Imp Club, Victory Wheelers, T3 Westfalia Refuge, Leicester Phoenix Scooter Club, Box Motor Club and H-Town Classic & Dub Club. If you would like your club featured, DM us! Our club of the month for October is the Little John Classic Car & Motorcycle Club. Don’t forget that you can follow classiclineuk on Facebook and Instagram for daily news and photos. For any RR members going over to The NEC this weekend for the Classic Motor Show, you may spot some of the ClassicLine team around the show. Although we have decided to give the team a rest this year and not have our usual stand at the event, we will still be around. If you see us, please feel free to say hello to us as we move around the halls. We will be there to answer any of your classic, retro and modified car insurance questions and help you in any way we can.
Hope you all have a brilliant weekend at the show!
