For sale is this 1999 Porsche Boxster, this was a joint venture between myself and my Dad, we were on a quest a few years back to find a tidy example of this model and the one we found quickly became my Dad's pride and joy, sadly with him being too unwell to drive it now and my time being divided elsewhere, we decided it's time for someone new to enjoy the car like we have. It's a T plate 1999 car and is the 2.5 litre, I'm led to believe that since the introduction in 1996, there were a few issues that needed ironing out which by the time ours was made, had been sorted so this is a fine example of the breed, mechanicals-wise. When it comes to the bodywork, we were surprised with how well this 20 year old car presents itself, it's not a rot box, there aren't any rust issues that I or the MOT centre found so this is all good, the paintwork is a dark Navy Blue and looks lovely, especially in the summer glint, inside the car, its finished in tan leather and is in decent condition, with a well timed leather feed, it'll be very serviceable for years to come. It's a very original example, and that's one of the reasons we bought it, it came from an owner who had cherished it and really looked after it, it's near on how it left the factory. It currently has just under 98,000 miles on the clock and has an MOT until June 17th 2020. We have it taxed so if you're in the mood to buy it, get your insurance going and it's good to go, No 'easy project' or 'slight faults' to hold you back. We have two keys for it, one is the posher type and the other is the spare, the V5 is in my name and there is also a folder of history that goes with the car. I feel these earlier type Boxsters are going to gain more attention as time moves on, they are very striking and at this price point, a great weekend toy.

not a fan of these tbh, so many of them are either boring to look at, or owned by 911 wannabes, but this one I really do like, that colour is beautiful, really suits it. GLWS looks a cracker.

I bought a 2000 Boxster 2.7 with similar mileage last year, equally good condition though, for £3200. I think £4500 is a bit top heavy, I generally expect these to start with a 3.

Might want to put some more detail. Your car looks like it has sports seats, leather trim upgrade (door panels etc) sound package a decent plastic hood window and possibly a few other options?
The 2.5 is underrated as its 'only200hp' but the handling on a Boxster is the real point of them , that and the fact they were designed and built as a convertible. They also use a reliable AUDI gearbox and don't suffer the IMS bearing so often reported (but actually only affected 5% of cars world wide). Believe the colour is known as Lapis blue.
Nice entry into Porsche ownership. GLWS

Thank you, I don't know too much about the options and stuff, so that's a big help.

Would have fetched over £4K easily advertised on the Boxster Forums with some nice photos and write up.
I sold my early 2.5 last year for £8000. Was an exceptional example and in the sought after silver/red leather combo (as per original motor show and press cars, so good ones are sought after on early cars).
Prices are all over the place though, I sold my slightly later 3.2S for a lot less a couple of years previously. It was nowhere near as nice an example though.

Service history seemed to be the sticking point with it, i had blind offers of 2k-2.5k which although i know more anout French cars, i knew this was worth more than that 😂
