Hi Slacker
She has turned into your path based on the damage in the thumbnails at the bottom of your screengrab.
Does the pic you posted show her actual road position or was this taken after she pulled over?
You could argue (industrial estate or not) that she was driving slowly at the kerbside and that you made an safe overtake. She crossed your path because she didn't check her mirror and/or blind spot. The damage to her fiesta is clearly rear to front in direction, which is probably the only thing going against you as she may try to twist it into you making an unsafe overtake/misjudged distance etc.
Have you checked the adjacent buildings for CCTV cameras? Do you have a dashcam? How long between impact and getting out the car with her phone in hand? Was she on a call when she got out?
You are correct in ballparking the cost for her car at 2500 quid or so and she ain't likely to stump that up on a retail body repair! My experience is 9 out of 10 customers haven't a breeze at what it costs to do bodywork properly so she'll get a price off a bodyshop after a few days and poo her pants, then put a claim in against you retrospectively.
As the others have said, curtail the above and strike while the iron is hot. The offer of settling outside insurance straight off the bat is a dead giveaway that she knows she's in the wrong.
Make sure you check out the above quickly to stay as watertight as possible.
Remember - this isn't your fault and you shouldn't be left out of pocket for it. Get your claim in and squeeze for a courtesy car because your own is no longer roadworthy. Don't let anyone bully you into giving up the Arosa if you don't want to, the car is yours and you have the right to retain salvage.
Best of luck 👍

you said she pulled out in front off you then turned right from the kerb as you were over taking sounds to me like she was lost and looking for an address on the industrial est so probably on the phone to the address getting directions and totally unaware you were there.

Another one here to say she's gonna lie. And say she was hurt. Had this myself at a roundabout. As said detail everything no matter how small. After 2 and a half years of the insurances battling I ended up in court. All of the stuff I'd detailled, and having a cracking barrister I was cleared of any wrong doing and she took the brunt 100%. She lied, and changed her story a number of times, my barrister and the judge caught her out. Be thorough. Good luck.

I'm here to categorically state that not everyone is a liar. And that some people even when in the wrong, admit their fault (and liability) because they are honest, or have a conscience. Unless consciences have been banned in England now, which is entirely feasible.

^^ This. You are not going to be disappointed if you just go round expecting the worse in people all the time. * Treat people how you would like to be treated, and you might be amazed....😊
Prime example. Little old lady two houses down from work. Lives at home still, but being 97, it’s VERY assisted living. Provided by carers and a miriad of family members, daughters ,grand daughters and great grand daughters. She took a fall about two years ago. Carer panicked a bit,so I went in there, picked her up and dusted her off. Very grateful for the help. Three days later she had baked me a cake and I had a thank you card. To be fair, not the greatest cake I ever did taste, but hey, you don’t get cakes baked by 97 year olds very often. She went to the trouble to make it for me, I scoffed the lot....With a lot of coffee...😂
Fast forward to this week. A young lady walks into to work, and asks if the white van in the street, parked around the corner is mine. I respond in the positive and ask who she is. Turns out she is the great granddaughter of the elderly neighbor. New driver. “Terribly sorry I bumped your van. I will get it repaired.” Now she could of driven off, and I would be none the wiser. My van isn’t new, about 7 years old. It’s got a couple of dents and scratches. But it’s presentable. It’s a tool in my toolbox to allow me to make a living. Tools get broken. Tools get replaced. She had scraped her car all down the side by rubbing it against the rear corner of mine. The dent on my van was about the size of a matchbox. I had to look really hard to find it. I told her not to worry. Not worth getting her insurance bumped sky high. Not worth her spending £150 privately to get it repaired. Told her she was brought up right, and please use the £150 on petrol to come and visit her great grandmother more often, but please to phone first ,so I could park elsewhere 😂😂😂. She did see the funny side....
* Not a dig at the OP, just a general observation.

Unfortunately I have to agree with luckyseven. I was involved in an incident the day after I posted on this thread, driving home in my lupo a youngish guy in a new mini pulled out on me at a crossroads from the right and I T-boned him into the side of a woman waiting on the left. Entirely his fault, 3 cars written off (either economically or structurally). Guy was nice as pie at the scene, very apologetic and after I said I’m in the motor trade we talked about how it would effect his insurance and if it was better off trying to settle outside insurance. 2 days later and his insurance company won’t speak to me or my insurance(and presumably the other woman’s either) as he is now being investigated by his insurance provider for ‘irregularities’ regarding his policy. Although he has admitted liability to them, so it should be a quick and easy settlement, it Looks like he was either driving it as a main driver when he was named as a 2nd driver, he was using it for commuting when he shouldn’t have been, or although the car itself was insured he shouldn’t have been driving it (no 3rd party extension). So he lied to me and the other woman at the scene, and he(or someone else) lied to his insurance when he took the policy out, to save a few quid. Either way it’s turned a very simple cut and dried claim into something much more complicated that’s likely going to end up costing him personally a fortune, as if he’s found to have lied to he is insurers, he is basically an uninsured driver.

So Saturday morning the letter from my insurance came through saying there was a claim against me. As every one had said she’s now stating I ran into her whilst she was stationary

Sorry it's come to this. There is never any place for morals when an insurance claim is involved and I'm sad to say it's hard to find a way to get people to paint their true colours in a more obscene and profound fashion

Insurance will go 50/50 as no independent witnesses (assumption on my part from your decsription). Any chance of any CCTV in the area?

My wife was run into by a young girl who basically T boned her as she drove past the entrance to a car park.
She jumps out and immediately admitted liability so my wife, got her to sign a note to that effect. Less than two hours later there was a ranting dad on the phone denying liability and saying she was in shock and it did not count any admission.
Well it did. Never trust anyone as once they get in the pub or go home to husband or Dad the story changes.
Also never think it is all over. WIfe was hit on a roundabout in Oxford 100% other drivers fault she was paid out made no other claims like some do.
Fast forward almost a year when she gets a claim through for whiplash and loss of no claims from other driver. She had a shyster ambulance chaser who told her even though insurance accepted claim was her fault she could dispute it and would win.
She also lost but even the insurance said that sometimes they would make a payment to make it go away as the costs of defending were so high.
Always take photos, get admissions if possible and any witnesses even if they are admitting it, you never know how things pan out.
Ps my wife is a great driver

The last accident I was involved in was hard to explain what happened, but basicly she was on the other side of the road facing the same way as me (against the flow on her side), pulls out to join my side of the road, stops in the middle of the road, at this point I'm committed to not letting her out as I had a car right behind me, but as I drive past her she lurches forward and drives straight into the side of my car. When I explained all this to my insurance company they said "so you're saying shes at fault, yes?" I relpied "well, ive just told you what happened, surley its up to you to tell me whos at fault?" She was driving a company van, and her insurance messed my insurance complany about, but she was found to be in the wrong and we had no witnesses. Any decent assessor who looks at the damage will be able to work out what happened I'm sure. I'm not sure how you stand if they decided to go 50/50, but stick to your guns if you can.

She was never gonna take that on the chin, her car is an insurance write off.
It sounds to me like you over took a parked car that pulled out on you without indicating...

So Saturday morning the letter from my insurance came through saying there was a claim against me. As every one had said she’s now stating I ran into her whilst she was stationary so annoying. Hopefully the inspectors will be able to tell from the damage direction of movement etc as stated by someone earlier in the thread. Reminds me of that scrape a user here had with a neighbour recently when they drove into his parked car and you could tell it was the 3rd party's fault by direction of scrape - not sure if that was ever resolved?
