My load lugging workhorse is for sale as I just have a few to many cars filling the road up!
MOT 6th August 2020 (nearly a year!)
Runs and drives pretty well, but has been used as a workhorse for a couple of years - body has scrapes and a dent on the rear right quarter. LH door strips missing (now gaffer tape..) Interior tired as well, hole in carpet etc. but hey it's cheap!
Could do with front brakes (discs a bit warped) and couple of bushes getting tired. Front tyres will also need doing in next 1000-2000 miles.
However, it's a very reliable old bus - this is the second time I've owned it. First bought it a couple of years ago and drove it to and from Stockholm! Didn't miss a beat. Sold it to a builder, then bought it back when he was done with it and sorted out a few issues and got it back through an MOT.
When had it a couple of years back I put a new clutch and cambelt on for piece of mind (Stockholm and back is a long way for an old car in a couple of weeks). Also did all fluids etc.
In last couple of months has had a new rear exhaust section, a basic service and plugs and seems to be running pretty well - sure it'll get you wherever you need to go. It's great for taking stuff to the tip etc. Capacity of a van, but no charges! Also has a towbar on it and comes with roof rack, so proper workhorse. Nice retro winter hack with it's heated seats?
Will be at the Gathering this weekend as a tow truck, give us a shout if you want a look.
