Has anyone found one that actually works? I’ve just bought the laser one. It’s rubbish. Won’t do 10mm. Makes it slightly less bent, but by no means straight. Marks the tube a little as well.
Pretty much every one I see gets reviews saying it doesn’t work. So has anyone found one that does? I need to be able to do 3/16”, 1/4”, 5/16” (which the laser one didn’t) and 3/8”.

Leave em a bit long - stick one end of the pipe tight in a vice (so it's squashed/held), mole grips tight on the other end of a pipe then hit the mole grips with a hammer so it pulls straight.

Cut pipe longer than necessary, clamp one end in vice and bend to 90 degrees.
Clamp other end in mole grips and bend 90 degrees
Take a mallet and smack the mole grips a couple of times, this will take out the majority of bends/wobbles

To straighten a length of brake pipe i normally put it on flat wooden table top and use a large piece of wood on top to roll it back and forwards. Works the bends out really well

Or look out for one of these, its a Pyrotenax tool, used for straightening fire proof copper/mineral insulated cable used by many electricians, I use mine on copper and steel pipes from 1/4 up to 1/2 inch

I was kinda hoping someone sold a tool that did what it actually claimed, and didn’t require an empty bench a big lump of timber kicking round!

I’ve seen the kwix tools and they do look like they work better than others. Gets pretty expensive once you need more than one size though.

By ‘cheap’ it’s still twice the price of the laser version though.

I suppose I’ll give the mole grips and vice method a try first.
I can’t see it working as well on 3/8” kunifer as it does on 3/260 copper though.

Two lengths of 6” wide mdf skirting board about a metre long works for me I use a foot long piece of 4x2 with a hole in the middle to support either end of I’m flattening a long section and work up and down kneeling on the upper length of skirt , arrow straight for practically free and I’ve got good results on 3/8 cupro for fuel lines

Rolling them between two boards has always been the one for me.
