***not strictly retro*** This is one of my favourite cars. Not the model of civic, although they're cool, but this exact car. And I like it for only one reason. I love the colour. (The green wheels don't hurt either ) And the stance. There's just something about it. It makes me feel... OOOF (find out more here: grassrootsmotorsports.com/news/category/project-cars/c-project-cars/92-civic-si/ (it's blog stylee with newest posts first))

I had one of these and it was great to drive, it had the 1.5 engine and it absolutely flew! Had to get rid of it as with 2 kids, a boot the size of a shoebox is not do-able!

I had a red Lsi, and it was ace and shifted fairly well - sold it for an estate for mountain bike transport, and wish i'd kept it now and just bought an old pickup for moving the bikes. Excellent cars

I had one of these as well a few years back - it suffered from the syncro problem and wouldn't go into 5th gear at times.
That was the first time I ever encountered a japanese car with a known problem...

Friend has one of the Vtec sedans (JDM import). & ohh the sounds it makes as it switches cams & the volume doubles.... Starting to consume oil though... Love the way they gave the hatches a split tailgate. And the way the sedans rear window 'melts' to match the angle of the bootlid (even if it causes distortion). Those 4 spoke alloys look interesting.

I also like these, like a curvy CRX.
Didn't Pininfarina design these?

That thing was a GRM project car no? Yep. Link to their writeup in the first post. I'm strongly tempted to go with this water-proof primer deal on my RX-7 But in blue.

I like them because even from the factory they're stupendously low lol. Get em sat next to a Clio or whatever and they're a good 5" lower overall.

Yes it's a shame everyone seems to have abandoned the concept of small, LOW & stylish 2-door hatches (not that the Civic was really small after the '80's).
& it seems unlikely we will ever see bonnets that low again without rear engines given pedestrian impact etc.
Really gives the Civic a speed-bubble feel to have such a low bonnet & big windscreen.

its funny how this civic looks decent in a retro way online, but in florida, you see these EVERYwhere, and they are the dodgiest piles of tuning curse word ever built. its almost impossible to find a unmolested civic in the US.
