LOWER EARLEY GPRace round the houses of the huge estate i live in, a long fast section out to the right then some tighter twisty bits on the left, I took out the really fast section to add the bends in as it would be too quick

The Bath GP (4.17 miles): Starting bottom left (by the big red arrow and circle below the gasworks), down the, erm, Lower Bristol Road Straight, into the left-straight-right kink (could also go straight on there instead), down to the loop at bottom right before crossing the bridge into the city centre. Then right towards the big Google logo (not actually there) before sharp left into a straight past the police station. ;D Left-right-left kink by the Abbey before a right into a slight uphill not-quite straight up to the hairpin left. Along, through the gentle right before hard on the brakes for the sharp right, then uphill into the Circus. Round the Circus and into the long curve of the Royal Crescent (F1 cars can do cobbles, right?) 90 left, short downhill straight into 90 right before heading through Victoria Park. Long curves beneath trees, before a right-left flick onto another short downhill straight. Hard on the brakes for the right hander, fast left over the bridge and left back onto the start-finish straight. This would proably require removing a lot of traffic islands and street furniture in general, and the hills in Bath are not gentle slopes. Would be fun though.

1989 Peugeot 205. You know, the one that was parked in a ditch on the campsite at RRG'17... the glass is always full. but the ratio of air to water may vary.

Ive gone for York, having been to Uni there. Plenty of highspeed sweeping straights with big stops into 90 degree turns, as well as a couple of tighter tricky sections and a wide hairpin at the bottom of Fishergate. There are some gentle elevation changes and a couple of bumpy braking areas. Nunnery Lane is the start/finish straight, with the Carpark running alongside it making way for the pitlane. Cant decide whether it should be CW or CCW... I shall have to think for slightly longer about that one.

Coventry High Speed Ring(road)I went to uni in Coventry, so I thought i'd have a go at the Cov GP route. I've gone for a bit of an obvious choice, using the ringroad, but those who have driven it will know its not exactly straight forward! It goes anti-clockwise starting near Gosford street. I've incorporated a couple of the roundabouts, most importantly the exit near the university, the one that goes behind the art & design building, down to the roundabout at the end of Far Gosford Street. Generally high speed, but with a couple of very tight corners.

Chichester Ring Length 2.8 ish miles Lap Record 3:52 The circuit takes in some of the south west quarter of the city, including part of the A27 ring road, the westbound carrageway used as the track, the eastbound as the pit lane. There is land to the nort and south that would be excellent for building grandsatnds and assotiated services.

I did the lap on the way into work this morning, really wanted to mount the camera on the side of the car a get a video a la rendevous, but didnt really have time to fanny about gaffertaping my digicam and mini tripod to the side of the car and was a bit concerned about how many puddles might be about so i went for the quick and safe option of mounting on the dash.
My lap isn't exactly the same as the circuit because i had to obseve the one way system round the bus station. Where i approach the T junction with the white peugout partner van opposite and turn left, the track would turn right, i had to jink round left, right, right, left at the traffic lights and carry on. I was at those light for nearly six mins, but i edited that out for obvious reasons.

READING GPalso known as the IDR (Inner Distribution Road) the pits can be in the carpark of TGI Fridays at the top right of the picture. It'll be a fast track with a few tight corners, and best of all my office over looks part of it so free parking for my mates Good for my office too mate! Pity it's never clear enough to do a test run. Nick

Here's my effort. The Basingstoke GP. I'm quite chuffed with it actually some nice tight turns, a long straight and a long sweeping right hander with about 3 apexes! I'll try and get out with the camcorder at the weekend and film it. Nick

I give you... The Brightonburgring( click for googlemappage) The start/finish is the A259 coast road at the bottom of the circuit with Maderia Drive being the pit lane running paralell to the start/finish straight. Next, turn up through town cutting accross to Elm Grove - a long uphill section with a chicane thrown in near the top before heading down Wilson Avenue - a very steep downhill and a turn back on to the start/finish straight. Total length is about 5 miles.

Oh yeah, I guess they would have to have those lap time board thingys on reeeeeealy long sticks!!
4am is about the only time you can drive down it without getting either stuck behind a tourist doing 3MPh or have to look out for boy-racers ragging their 1.0l saxos and ripping up the handbrake.

Not a gp, all though i drive all over cork all night long at work, there's very little circuits there, so here's my local test track one long left hander, one 90degree and one hairpin, and quite a lot of well surfaced (don't get alot of good tarmac in Ireland) rally stage loads of little left/right combos whilst going dipping and rising. tight enough to be fun at low speed even on a little bike check the location, and you can see the elevation quite well.
