Michelin also had some as a road test laboratry (sp?) A wheel in the center of the car could be lowered to test new tyres in various places/conditions. Guess those were 7 wheelers It's the one linked below your post, with no fewer than 11 wheels and two chevy 5.7l V8s To find, go to The mad French site, then click 'Spéciales' on the left, then click 'Les plus de 6 roues' on the main page... Also 'Les multi-pattes' on the same page is well worth a look

In response to the OP - is this the one you mean? Pic taken at Bromley pageant in '06. My dad had a similar one, albeit with just 4 wheels in the early to mid 80's. Best car he ever had.

I went to the Faversham Classic car show a couple of years back, and the CX owners club had a little display there. There were 3 of the 6-wheeled beasts there, as well as 5 or 6 normal CXs. Awesome cars IMO.

Given the location of your sighting I suspect it's the one that belongs to a teacher at a school near me....I've got a picture somewhere... *edit* Found it: Yep, it's owned by a bloke in the Citroen Car Club. Not in fact a Tissier conversion, he decided he wanted something similar and sent his car over to Germany (I think) for the work. He calls it 'the Loadrunner', and the story's in a club mag somewhere - I'll see if I can find it.

Try doing a wet hill start with one of those fully laden. ;D Ahh... but you might be forgetting the hydraulic suspension - it'll still be sitting level even with a full load. ;D
