For sale 1990 BMW 735i automatic This car is a Factory Shadowline which means it has black trim and no chrome. It has the 3.5 litre straight six with Switchable automatic gearbox and also has the rare, fully working factory remote central locking. Inside it has climate control, black leather, heated & fully electric front seats (including headrests). It also comes with the factory 10 speaker Stereo to which I’ve added a Kenwood head unit, 10 disc Kenwood c.d changer, two Kenwood amplifiers & a 12” Infinity Kappa subwoofer. Outside I have fitted four 9”x18” Genuine BMW M3 alloy wheels, Pi Lowering springs, Angel eye projector headlights, crystal indicators, Carbon fibre badges, Noltec “softride” polyurethane front suspension bushes, Powerflex polyurethane rear subframe bushes & new front shock absorbers. Other work carried out since owning the vehicle has included a full service, Gearbox filter & fluid change, Headgasket & water pump, Brake fluid Change, gearbox mounts & front suspension arms, it's also had a new high quality battery fitted in the last six months. Bad points: The N/S/F wing requires painting as the laquer is pealing and the cruise contol doesn't work. Will be sold with a full m.o.t and a spare bonnet and front wings. P.M me for more details. I have probably spent over £3500 in the last couple of years including purchase cost but now it's time to go so I'm asking [glow=red,2,300]£1100 ono[/glow]retrorides.proboards29.com/index.cgi?board=readersrides&action=display&thread=1156770002

Current millage is 174k, AC has been converted from R12 to R134 at some point previous to my ownership and works fine and the tax runs out at the end of august. The M.O.T has a few weeks left but it's getting a new ticket next week. The only other thing I can think of that will need doing shortly are the front brakes which are getting low, they still pull up fine with no juddering but the discs are getting thin so would need changing at the same time.

Oh yes and it has a tiny oil leak from the selector seal on the gearbox, it's a genuine 5 minuite job that I may even do next week if I can get hold of a BMW stores person who knows what he's looking for on the computer

Sorry for all the questions but.....
Whats the leather like - cracked or well fed and soft - black leather shows up poor maintenance/lack of feeding so much worse than lighter colours....
I seem to remember you are Ipswich way from previous conversations

Sorry for all the questions but..... Whats the leather like - cracked or well fed and soft - black leather shows up poor maintenance/lack of feeding so much worse than lighter colours.... I seem to remember you are Ipswich way from previous conversations The leather is pretty soft and in good order, it's not 100% but it's really good for it's age, the only real mark is a tiny tear in the rear seat base which is covered when the arm rest is down. The real bonus inside is the wood, every panel is in excellant order except a few light scratches on the gearstick surround, probably as it gets used as a table by most people All the electrics work fine as well as I've had all the releys apart and resoldered the dry joints which is a very common cause of strange going on's on older BMWs Yes I'm in Ipswich, well rememberd if you want to have a drive then we can meet somewhere inbetween us or at a local meet? , that'll give me a good excuse to get my r's along to one ;D There are a few little niggles that all old cars have, you know the sort of little things that you live with and only worry about when it comes to sell... 1: the warning that tells you that a side light bulb is out always comes on when you switch the lights on, there's nothing wrong with the system but because the front side lights are now led's (angel eyes) the check package doesn't see such a high current drain and thinks that a bulb is out, not a hard problem to sort out it's just that I've never got round to it. 2: the front wheels have to run spacers, I've ditched the really dangerous cast ones which were on it in favour of billet alloy ones, but really it would be better to get some bolt on adaptors. I've never had any problems myself but I know a few people on here are dead against spacers so thought I'd mention it. The best thing is to have a look yourself and see what you think Cheers, Stu.

Went straight through the M.O.T today with no problems, still had some of the old ticket left so it now comes with full test untill september 23rd 2007... can't say fairer than that.

I would love to buy this - it looks soo good - but I can't I have contacted my current "daily driver" insurers and as I have a claim still unresolved and a large step back in my NCB entitlement as a result from last year (wasn't my fault but foreign driver - since been disqualified for DD on the night in question to boot) They are unable to provide me a competetive quote. Moving to another insurers doesn't help as because I have that same claim outstanding the quotes are pretty silly too...... All my other cars are on classic policies so the issue of NCB isn't an issue.

This week only before I come to my senses! [glow=red,2,300]£900.00[/glow] no offers. If it doesn't sell at this giveaway price it's staying . Remember this now has Full mot and has had three times the asking price spent on it in the last year and a half, possibly the best car I've owned but I need something smaller now my fiance has started to drive

Are the spacers on the front to clear the calipers, or just to fill the arches a little better? Any pics of the interior.
I'm very tempted!
