I'm still aiming to get my car working properly, considering its currently using about a litre of water for every 5 miles it does!
check my thread for stuff to do...

I'm far from quiting, just getting it done right, and a day on it after work isn't gonna do that.
I need to get bits, get things fabricated etc, its loosing a weekend, getting myself injured and having bits "missing" that I've had to chase that has caused the problems.
It's my car, its gotta take me and Sarah places, I want it right..., sorry if anyone feels I'm letting em down by not bringing it to CaRS (I've tried really hard to get it done, put in some late nights, worked by torch light, ached sworn the lot!), but you don't have to drive it with the people you care about in it, I do, I want it right.

That looks freakin quality man. The engine looks right at home in there. Exhaust looks a bit precarious though, make a good step!

, just woke up after a long day yesterday , I'm meant to be in Newmarket at the T3D openday!!!, oh well, I'll leave in a bit.... Basicly, I need a new throttle cable, I've got one large rad hose to re-route and connect, and the heater needs plumbing. Then its a case of about 4 labled wires being attatched to the relevent sensors and dashlights, and I'm there. The new AVO -45mm rear springs are in, exhaust and sup are now "acceptable" ground clearance wise, it sits nose down, which I like, but its a lot better than I had previously thought it would do, so I may keep the -60mm's up front and leave the larger than required rear rubber on...for now It's looking more and more like an albiet ratty version of a Type25 shaped "cal look" beetle, twin stainless quiet packs, Old Skool Porshe rims, minimalistic "chrome" wedge bumpers and nose down stance. I love it When I do the final finishing of the little bits of wiring, I'll try to get a vid of the engine running so you can see and hear what my neighbours need to get used to Laters and Coolies, I shall return with many cool pics from the T3D open Day!

well...... Plumbed in the fuel feed and return..... Wired in the ECU.... Wired the "engine harness" from the ECU Wired starter motor. Put my foot on the clutch, the pedal is dead , something is broken down there and I've gotta take a look BUT... She turns over. No throttle cable, so I don't know if it starts and runs, but the pump powers up and everything seems to be "as it should be" so far. No sign of fuel leaks either.... Good stuff.
