Hello peeps.... here are the little gems - complete opposite ends of the spectrum but both a massive amount of fun ! Alfa 145 Cloverleaf... Mods NONE - Super fast and thirsty (25mpg! gulp) ============================================ Morris Marina Pickup. Body : Triumph TR6 15x5.5 steel wheels Mk 1 Grill shell (mk 3 car) Pressed Bonnet Louvres Indicators moved to behind grill Petrol filler replaced with bottle opener Black pressed plates (It will have front and rear MK1 bumpers) Suspension : Front adjustable coilovers Larger disks Rear salisbury axle / coilovers and 5 link set up Engine / Trans : Rover SD1 3.5ltr V8 Engine Rover SD1 5 speed box Custom Prop Interior: Original clocks replaced with matching smiths gauges. Water / Oil / Revs / Speedo / Volts Custom Hurst style shifter Mexican seat covers (sh!t and odd seats !) Other: Dual radiator set up due to engie bay space Fuel tank moved to pickup bed (aluminium box style at mo, soon to be replaced with beer keg) The pickup is a toy... it's not meant to be anything other than that.... I have never been so satisfied as the first time I drove it in paint (to CARS) ;D I hope you don't think that poor panel gaps and sh!t paint keep me awake at night

Loved the Pick up at Cars, especially all the details like the pin striping and the skull and cross bones on the oil filter Alfa is lovely as well, always fancied one myself.

Cheers guys... Pogweasel: take your filthy paws off mah silky draws Hotwire: What 'treatment' do you think the alfa would be happy with? and as you said, tons of people at CARS i wanted to sit and drink a beer with and give respect needed. one of them being ... Racer: Your car was number 2 of the whole show for me - after the SSS (?) on street fins (?) - they might both need correcting ! Ben Clayton (Marina16v i think) has been loads of help over email and ive got parts from him too... i saw hime for like a minute and just assumed i'd catch up with him again... never saw him. there's a big apology due there ! ps: the skull on the oil filter is just a constant reminder that an oil filter really shouldnt be the furthermost front point of your car ! jeez... remote filter soon.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

No worries Rob! You'll have to get over to Peterborough on the 6th August to the BL/BMC day mate or another club event! I didn't stay long at CARS becuase of the heat! and I was seeing the Red Hot Chili Peppers that evening. Ben

Bump steer is when the steering wheel fights back as you drive down the road, usually caused by wrong offset/inset, too wide tyres or just shagged suspension......
Finger now extracted! ;D

ive put about 300 miles on it so far... it DID overheat once but that was due to the electric fan fue blowing ! phew ! apart from that, even in traffic it seems to behave and we've definitely hadthe weather to test it ! marinanut - the whole car fights me - i don't think we get on !! mrsigma - thanks for that. when you're in a freezing cold garage trying to loosen a 25 yr old nut all that keeps me going, apart from driving the thing, is someone thinking it's cool/interesting, whatever... thanks !
