Seriously thinking about getting some new wheels for the GT4, want to go for the Motorsport white wheel look in either 16 or 17" (the Rally Race wheels were only in 16" in Toyota Celica fitment). Been quickly photoshopping. What does everyone think? Compo MOCompo TH3Oz Rally RaceOz Superturismo WRCNot my car, but the tidiest side on pic of an ST185 I could find, and puts mine in the shade.

I actually like the OZ Rally race.
But I think I'd err towrds a set of Schmidt/Revolution TH lines.
How about black rims?

Yeah, was thinking those myself, although the OZ Rally Race wheels are what Toyota used.
Needs to wait a little while yet though. Got a list of things that it needs.
Need to get my bushkit, uprated rear ARB and decat pipe in from the states first (takes forever when the whiteline bush kit has to come from AUS first)
Then wait for my DBA RooPaws discs to arrive in the UK, and fit them and Akebono Ceramic pads.
Find a decent remote oil pressure T piece to fit the temp and pressure gauge senders alongside the idiot light.
sort out where it is leaking oil (looks like it should be curse word out, needs about 1/2 litre added every 600-800 miles, but never any staining on the ground but loads on the engine/gearbox casing underneith).
Then get the bodywork tidied up (just dings and scrapes) and get some rallyslag mudflaps fitted.

cheers fella, would definatley suit my barebones budget and long term plan, because they only come up once in a blue moon, and don't usually cost that much when they do. Unless half of the GT4OC sees them and starts outbidding each other.

Yeah just get in there before they do! Nice motor by the way. Pleased with it? It's and comfy, but it seems everypiece of trim rattles. Not what I expected from a J car. The Eibachs and new KYBs and a new Alloy (instead of steel and rubber) rear diff cushion means it doesn't bang arround on gear shifts so much anymore, but because the Eibachs are 20% uprated, it's stiffer and rattles. I had a set of TRD front strut top mounts fitted at the same time, but the rears hadn't arrived from the states by then, so I ended up having the old ones put back on. Can't wait for the bush kit to arrive so I can get it booked in to get decatted, bushes fitted, and rear topmounts fitted. Performance wise, Hmmm, It's quick and silky smooth apart from a slightly notchy (wear in the shifters not the box) shift, but the CT26 doesn't have the same kidney punch effect as the T3 on my previous Saab T16S. Plus, weighing more and having 4wd transmission losses, fuel economy is worse. Longer term plans are. 1)Stop the rattles. 2) build and map a megasquirt (the Toyota ECU overfuels to curse word for safety and actually deliberatey goes 100% duty cycle on the injectors on full boost what). 3)Find a secondhand Mongoose stainless 2.5" system to match the decat pipe. I imagine after 15 years, the CAT has collapsed and the internals are just strangeling the engine anyway.

I was going to say the Oz Rally Race even before I saw the pictures. Go for them, they look the best.

Limits me to 16" though, unless I can get a set of Subaru ones with some 10mm spacers.
Might not be too bad, although I have this irrational fear of spacers.

If it had been a Supra, 200SX, or Pulsar maybe street racer would be best, but not on a GT4. Mind you a nice Series 3 Supra would be very nice with the right big wheels on. Would look like a real backstreet nutter/dogey club doorman motor.

Oz rally/race they are the same as they used on the actual rally cars. Yes they are. MOs (or OZ Chronos) for Tarmac, Rallyrace for Gravel.
