Little action here lately... But we are refreshing our garage to get a little better standard, but I've got some more parts as Yellow lamps for the GT and two sets of brand new Snowflakes... I thinking about wide it out to 8 x 14 (6 x 14 orginaly) Here is a pitcure of our garage right now, we're put on some composit-curse word on the floor...

how do you widen alloy wheels? Same as banding steels, only difference, you use aluminum

I've seen two sets of banded Fuchs before, they looked rather well done actually - I wish I'd saved a pic. I've also seen a MkII Capri on (Ronal) RS 4 spoke split rims with Image centre caps suggesting that they had been modified by Image. Of course Dimma used to re-rim 205/309 alloys - including a 1" diameter increase. This one has got 1.6 GTi 14 inches that have had the Dimma treatment: These are the more common 15"ers (now 16s I think): edit: Just found the RS four spoke on the image site so perhaps they cast their own rather than cut the centre out... Mind you...you can buy them in 13 (up to 16" width!) or 14 (up to 10") by the look of it. Hmm, imagine a Mk1 Fiesta with black bolt on arches and rubber stretched over some 9x14s! Sorry about the thread hijack polardego!

Here we go, we have no startet on the prosjekt "Joppe2" and this car is already sold and our first customer-job. The car is as said before a 83 GTi who has rolled 235" km, in pretty good shape but it need some attention to get back in good condition. Bilen er mørk grønn met og kommer til å bli satt tilbake til orginal stand med noen modifikasjoner. The car is Lhasagrün metallic and is going back to it's orginale status with some modifications... Equipment: - Computer - Sunroof - Tinted Windows - GTi-interior - GTi-mirrors etc... What who shall be done I'm coming back to, but the car sould be ready in January, Here is the car: The interior was very nice, but the driverschair was as always a little damaged... The doorplates has been perfect if it wasn't for the un-orginal speakers that someone have placed there... But I have a set of GTi-door plates who is 100% so we put them in. No oil-leaks on the engine at all... Ekstrator was also monted... Also regulator and throttlebody was modified and taken from Audi's 2.2 engine...

A little detalj, the orginal spoiler on the A-pilar was fittet, this should make the car go 1 km/t faster... The hood was new, but never painted so this gonna fit perfect for a rat-prosjekt... Maybe later? The sister of the previous owner had a little accident with the car, so alt the metal at the front will be changed... This is how it should be, left side is ok. We took out the interior and it wasn't so much rust under the carpet, but a little rust we find so we got to fix it... Right side: Left side: A little rust we also find where the sparetyre use to be, but this will be fixed and everything will be painted I the trunk... For those who had build Golf 1 before is familiar with that, is the most normal places you find rust on this type of car. Same with the rear windows, no so bad but it have to be fixet anyhow... Left side: Right side: ManiaCoupe checking the emergency-exit's...

New parts also arrived, hood, bumpers, the front-plate, new grill an GTi spoilers... Everything on the door was removed since the doors shall be painted totaly both inside and outside... A little rust we also find here... As you can see, it's not so much damage on the right side. But we have to go to the scrapyard and cut out the part who is damaged to fix it. The right fender was taking off and no rust where to be found... The backdoor was a little rusty as well, so this is going to be changed also. Somethings always seems to brake apart... So far so good, tomorrow we start to change parts...

Today's update... (hope you will survive my bad english...) When I arrived at the garage for the second day today Andrew was taking out the frontplate... Some leftovers... No rust at all on the left side as you can see... The car is totally in to pieces now, only the backdoor remains... Some parts argue more then others, as the bolts on the rear bumper... Three was refusing to get of and WE ARE CUTTING... How many has seen this in one piece the latest ten years or so? Right arces was almost 100% ok... On the left side we did find some rust, so we have to put in some small pieces there... We have to change the inside of the fender because of that little crash on the right side. Good we have donor-cars in the garage... (hope Endre don't see this, lol) Today's last piece of rust, not much but it have to go... A little snack, complete Ansa eksos-system My friend Joachim is on Essen Motorshow and bring back new dekals to me... Tomorrow we continue...

Sunday... Today I'm not gonna terrorise you with my bad english an will let the pitcures talk for them self almost... The first thing we started on was the door-sills. (is that right?) The problem was not really the door-sills, but that someone has put their jack in the wrong place and caused damage between the door-sills and floor... This is how the edge on the door-sills are right now, but it will be modified to look good before paint. On the left side you can see the damage after the wrong placement of the jack on the door-sills. The wheel-arch is cleaned for the little rust who was there...

Poor car... The wheel-arch is now complete again and all rust is gone... Just a little welding left before it's finished and we can start prepare it for paint... Bonzo stop by to inspect the work, but he was more intressed in the lunch... ;D

Yeah forget the English, I'd happily try and read it in Norwegian... Pictures speak louder than words and all that. Big admirer of your work, great attention to detail too... Keep it coming
