hello mate, how did you fit your front speakers up? wiring went through where etc? thinking of doing that for mine, i take it you just took the bins off and stuck some coaxials in there? what make width and depth are the speakers? any issues with windows not winding down etc? Is it a good soundstage in the front? can you tell they are there is what I'm trying to get at basically!

Is it a good soundstage in the front? can you tell they are there is what I'm trying to get at basically! I basically just cut a hole in the door card and screwed them in! I plan to do a better job soon through, when I install my sub as well. I fed the wire through the hinge hole in the door and then drilled a hole on the other side and stuck a gromet in it The speakers are 6" sony units, they arent great at all but they were cheap, but the sound is MUCH better with them in the front. Theres honestly no point upgrading the speakers in the parcel shelf unless you've got some decent ones in the front.

Hi Adam, love the Polo. Just wondered where you got your coilover kit from? Demons Tweeks used to sell them but cant see them listed in their recent catalogue?

nice conversion, as I've got several spare sets of struts I should give it a go too..
how do the rallydesign kits fit, are they spot on? and how about the top mounts?
what springs do you use for them, also from rallydesign?
what are you planning to do on the back?
lot a questions, and now the comment: GREAT WORK, KEEP IT GOING!!!!

1) Rally design kits fit pretty well! The struts aren't a consistent diameter all the way down but start off a 2" (the ID of the kit). That's why I used the welds from the original arm placement as location 2) Springs are generic 2.25" coil springs also sold by rally design. I used 225lb springs which are pretty stiff, as i'm wanting to go lowwwww. 3) On the back i'm leaving the Jackson Tuning adjustable kit for the moment, but will be moving to mk1 golf coilies as soon as funds allow (they bolt straight in ). Thanks for the encouragement guys, look out for a similar story in my 205 RG thread soon

Nice job Adam! Now you have the potential to go super low if you want very easily and cheaply like you say I bet the ride will be improved a bit too once your happy with the spring rate, definately a worthwhile mod
