Hmm, ta for the advice on rubbing down, off to get some more wet and dry me thinks.
What compound did you use? Some of the forums have recommended a scratch and swirl remover rather than compound? I've bought an electric polisher to use on mine to try and get the shine up.

weeing down with rain here so all progress has been halted, which is rubbish! but not one to waste valuable sitting down time i have found the wheels i was looking for, one bout of chopping sees the latest incarnation smoothie moon disks with painted rims, just got to find out how much they cost to import from the US.

;D I love it! I've had the wood on the side of mine for over 3 years now and it's still okay ;)That stuffs really durable. I think somewhere like Saturn Industries or The Paintbox would be able to get the smoothie discs for you if you can't find them. Keep up the good work. By the way,if you want a tiki style gearknob for it I can make one for a small charge

are you polishing using a 'strong right arm' or have you got an eleccy polishing mop machine gizmo?
If you can scrounge a machine from someone for a day or two, you'll be astonished at what you can achieve.
