Hey John. She's in for the panelwork this tuesday so will be done end of next week. Then I'm gonna strip the front struts out and courier them to the suspension people to look at and if they can do it, will make them then....which will put it off the road for about 3 weeks from this w/e After thats done I'm gonna get the money together for the carb manifold and have that built hopefully in march. between all that hopefully ill get the other car stripped and maybe the bigger engine in! *phew! Go for the 120Y...you wont regret it! The missus will get over it....just take her for a night out or something to make it up to her....women are even shallower than men! LOL

Tis a cool car what are the engine swaps you could do Common ones would be A12/A14 or even A15 drops as they're the easiest considering its FWD and all those engines are based on the same design. A14 and A15 share the same block and both have 76mm bore. A15 is basically A14 with a longer stroke (77 mm to 82mm). A12 has a 73 mm bore and a 70 mm stroke. -M

Not compatible or too far gone? On the purchasing front - the price is excessive ( over here they're stupidly OTT ) and on top o' that Skamans' dolly is of interest as I have a couple of Dolly Sprint motors and complete interior lurking back in the UK. - so may do that and use the bits first. - Plus the price of the 120 will drop through lack of interest I hope! Too many projects and not enough time/cash! Will be good to see her back to ship shape...... ;D

I was gonna use them off the spares car but i want them to take the measurements off the 'chopped' ones so they don't build them 4" too long LOL. I can do with the exercise anyway hahaha.....*cough* *cough* Well, if you DO go for the 120y then I'm sure we'll hear about it about 5seconds after you do

Hey johnny, what are the front brakes like on your car? Are the studs attached to the rotor? Also, do you need to remove the bearings to get the rotor off?

Are you having shorter shocks in them as well? Yeh, the whole things are being constructed from scratch to match the sizes they are now I'm leaving it to them to do all the math etc etc

Had to do front brakes on my Sunny today, wanted to know before diving into it, lol. Trust me, you'll need a press to get the rotors apart. Pics will come tomorrow. Including the broken brake line, cracked at the fitting when we removed the caliper. Will be finished tomorrow, lol.

LOL.....I'm not quite sure TBH, cut them the first time then rode it for a while then when i came to take just one more coil out i didnt pay much attention! Also....ive dropped cars that far before but the struts are the tallest ive come across (internally) and didnt know it was gonna sit on them
