lol thanks guys , ps ive had a small problem , (only a small one lol) turbos knackerd , so thought id go searching and found this geniune garrett gt40 turbo ,but the hot side looks a little big 1.14 so anyway adaptord it on , and its too laggy , after trying to find a smaller houseing to match the compressor wheel i got no joy without having to buy a new internal turbine blade ,,,so had a idea ,, yes you gessed chop it up i thought if i chop the snail down has to compress less voloume of air , so here goes , first rip some lumps off then looks somert like this then got some 5mm plate cut and welded 2 striped to keep the turbo twinscroll and christ feels evil lol approx 200mile , few pics you,ll notice how big that turbo is and how small ive managed to get the turbo hotside ive had it nice and glowing too ...

pmsl everytime i check i have to laugh with the responces ,brilliant , right he was the problem ,i needed a large turbo with quick spool ,for air effiency which they don't make , as this turbo is/or was a geniune garrett gt40 4intake , problem was the hotside it was too laggy due to size of i , 1.14 t4 twinscroll , so after searching for another hotside//but smaller they don't do one , so next option chop the buggar , yes its cast , but its cast steel with nickel contnt so can be welded ,,, so after chopping a large area off , and useing spring high tenile steel 5mm thick ,i knew it would work but how well was another story , anyway 4 hours later , it was time to try , bare in mind ,when first fitted i had major turbo lag and showing 5000rpm before boost came in , after customizing the hotside I'm in boost at 2600rpm ,lol with no surge and will pull clean to 30psi , mental , but i dearnt risk trying to tunie anymore as I'm on stock headbolts lol ,, no point in buying exspensive pistons/rods/bolts etc , long as its tunied its fun ,,, its when you get greedy and go that bit more then somert jumps out of the engine ,pmsl ,,

YOU WHAT! lol this is epic, 30psi on stock pistons aswell?!! Awesome. Never seen that done before but it makes so much sense! Mind, you've introduced quite a bit of pumping loss now but it's the only way to go, and better in my opinion than having a smaller turbo working it's tits off and dropping efficiency. Will be good to see how the cast holds up Did you have to pre-heat the housing loads? And was it with your tig machine? Once again legendary stuff!
