What a brilliant weekend. There will be, I'm sure, dozens of threads filled with people's personal automotive highlights...indeed I'll post mine too. If you want to add your own here, feel free, it will save the main board being clogged up with Pic Dumps.

RRG08 though, for me, was all about friendship. Over the course of 48 hours (and one HELL of a lot of alcohol) a great many people ceased to be people I know through a web forum, and henceforth shall be known as friends. I don't think I've ever done as much handshaking and high fiving as I have this weekend.

looking at these pics really sums up the beauty of our "hobby" these are cars that a few years ago no-one was giving a second glance, yet now in my eyes they are commanding the same respect the proper old cars get, Miguel I want your transit... you hear me?? ok so I slightly over estimated how quick the newly tweaked and fixed camper would take and arrived a good half hour ahead of the next person, but it gave me a chance to scope the site out

On my list of things to take next year, two wheels is better than feet

By early evening it was heaving in Club Retro




The conversation flowed
....as did the beer


Rims were sprayed


More beer was drunk


This proved very useful on saturday


The first meeting of the arty farty night time RR camera club was a success....







The night was young, the cinema was open and the "best chair at RR08" was too comfy, hats off to Mark for the entertainment, really appreciate the effort you went to to supply us with the cinema for the weekend ;D

Sunday dawned dry after the downpour at 1am


we headed to the parking and after a caffeine boost began the mammoth task of getting round the show began, awesome turnout and some really nice cars on display...
