Work continues... finished up under the dash from inside, not the best looking repair but it's functional. Cut the rot out on the outside. and patched up

Looking like you'll be busy for a few weeks Martin That's a lot of plop in there mate i broke a cortina like that a few years back, fiberglass floors, bulkhead and inner sill I had loads of trouble with FWD cars on the A frame, if you do a tight turn the diff pulls the steering onto full lock and it stays there wider wheel do make it worse.

Not many pics this week but I've been hard at it all the same. fitted the new hinge pins I acquired from Ford, I think I'll do the other door as well while it's off. I found out why it felt worn on this side, the pin was broken in half. Stripped out and to get ready for painting, started sorting the few dents out it has and filling them up.

Not much to report just been filling and rubbing down seems to be taking ages. I had a few areas to fill these areas are now done ready for primer. even the roof and the rot free drivers door had some dents as well The front panel is being a right pain to get right, must be all that pushing and pulling to get it into place. Got it to this now. Just the front panel and door to finish the filler on and then I can start to paint.

Nice build, mate Great to see some unloved metal getting restored. Not tempted by lead instead of filler, by the way?

Thanks Matt, wouldn't know where to start with lead, the cars not worth that quality of work.

No way, you've been busy again! another retro Ford in the garage, back to barebones, with every crease being ironed out. oh dear I think seeing all that work you have made me realistic about my Mk3 odd dings here and there and a horrid bend in the roof where the hatch shut on a brush or summat, eek *reaches for Satin matt black cans* great work.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

the best thing about this build is that i don't feel bad about ripping mine apart, especially as a few of the bits are from mine ;D

Yes Kee there will certainly be some of your car in mine, can't wait until the day I get the seats in and the wheels are awaiting their new rubber.

Not much progress to show but a little progress was made this weekend. Cleaned the engine bay ready to paint underside of bonnet and other areas, it doesn't look very clean in the pics but it's a lot better than before. Painted areas of the floor and the crossmember I fitted. Rubbing down getting ready for primer, no pics of that.
