That is fantastic. Ok, I love Novas anyway but the attention to detail and the work you have put in are just amazing. How many Sport models are left now, can't be many? Thanks for the comments. 500 Nova Sports needed to be produced for homologation rules back in the 80's, however I think only about 400 or so made it to the show rooms, the rest were sold as kits. As the bulk were sold for rallying and consequently crashed etc, I think there are probably 30-40 Sports left, and probably half of those would be roadworthy. There were 6 (including mine) at the VBOA National Day in July. It's quite nice to own an example, knowing it's so rare. Dec

Top marks for putting the work in! Anyone who goes to that level of effort (bare shell re-spray, plating of nuts / bolts etc) deserves some praise. If you and your dad are now at a loose end you could always come round and sort out my garage - yours looks spotless!

I love this forum. Worthy of the title nut and bolt restoration. Well done on the awards - its the least they could do to be honest!

Fan-frikkin-tastic! Inspirational stuff. Must have cost a fortune to get it to that standard. Much kudos to you and your Dad. *Edit* Just finished reading through the entire resto thread on Migweb and I'm now even more blown away. There simply aren't enough superlatives to cover it! You really should let TV know about this build despite what you think about it not fitting their demographic. I think you would be surprised.

WOW. Great work, few people have the patience to pull this sort of thing off.
Good to see that Novas are crossing over from scrap yard fodder to genuine modern classics.

I had one of these the 1st time around.
That's just amazing.
I'm hankering for an S1 Elise, but that nova sport would sway me. Adorable.
