Sorry re-reading that makes it looks like I'm being completely rude and sarcastic, I just intended for it be slightly tounge in cheek. Apologies. I have the smallest exhaust housing at 0.60 a/r, so this looks to be the right map.

That is one serious sleeper. I hope it drives like a madman. Cheers. Yeah I'm hoping it will be madman. Possibly a bit too mad if I'm honest... I wish it was light after work and I could get on with doing all the minor tasks to get the engine finished. Can't wait for these clocks to go back...

Did some work on the helical Quaife style S15 diff this weekend... Building up the diff was fine, but I knew that would be about the only fine bit. First job was to investigate the deal with these 280zx driveshafts. I wanted to hybrid together some shafts for this S15 diff. So first job was to find an old early S12 driveshaft with the pain-in-the- -non-serviceable CV joints. Basically you have to cut them open with a saw and write them off I didn't want to do this to the 280ZX driveshafts first off as they're rare as poor quality wobbly children's play pony poo. So I've opened it up and wanted to sure if it's the same spline count in order to use the S13/4/5 style spider assembly and CV joint. All looks good so far. So I then pluck up the courage to chop open a 280ZX CV joint. It looks a bit different. Instead of them using a snap ring on the end of the shaft, they use a tool to burr the end of the shaft over. Must have been too expensive to do it properly with a snap ring and a groove in the shaft So out comes the club hammer and brute force and the spider assembly is off. Cleaned and filed up the shaft end and fit the S15 CV joint cover and slide the spider on. I then used a socket over the end of the shaft and smashed the living daylights out of it to burr the end of the shaft to lock the spider in place. From when I fitted an S13 diff to an S12 I knew that the CV joints from the S13 make the shaft about 1.5" longer. So I have to use a short shaft to make up the long side. So then I fitted the diff and the driver side shaft to the car to prove the concept and it all looks good. Definitely too tight to squeeze the shaft in the passenger side, it's too long. Two ways of sorting this. One way is to get the a shaft shortened . This won't be suitable for any decent power so I'll probably have to get one made up by the likes of Recoprop. They've quoted roughly £300. If anyone knows of any companies who could do this cheaper then please let me know, thanks

This car is seriously brilliant.. or will be As for you shaft issues look into some of the landrover offroad companies, lost of these make shafts up and if memory serves for less £££ sadly my memory fails me on the company names

Thought I should pay some attention to under the bonnet as the engine won't spring in to life without me. Intercooler. I got some big chunky 3" thing for the front. I had to have my pants pulled down and buy some samco to make up the pipework. Had to do a fair amount of metalwork removal including hacking the battery tray out to make it all fit. Not much left to do in the intercooler other than buying one more Mikalor clamp, some M8 1.25 studding to secure the intercooler a bit tighter and get a 15mm and 30mm pipes tee'd in to the intercooler piping for the recirc dump valve and slow running system. Oh and also need to get something to got from 4" to approx 3.1" for the airflow meter including 2 slats inside to make the air direction linear.

Got a new present for the car. A sequential shifter... These are rare as poor quality wobbly children's play pony poo, so couldn't resist when I saw it.

This car is awesome! The mega powerz CA is great. Why go for a torson diff and not an LSD thou?

Got a new present for the car. A sequential shifter... How does that work? Don't know how exactly it works inside. You pull the lever to shift up and push forward to shift down. This car is awesome! The mega powerz CA is great. Why go for a torson diff and not an LSD thou? Torsen diff's have an interesting reputation so it's rude not to try it out. Some people love them, others hate them. It's not a drift car and if it was I'd just weld up the normal diff. It's a fast street car so the torsen seems like a sensible approach.

Don't know how exactly it works inside. You pull the lever to shift up and push forward to shift down. And it just bolts to the standard gearbox?
