Had an Equipe in the family years ago, one of five Allegros in total. Went like a stream train...fast in a straight line, corners were exciting at times. Engine very torquey and 30mpg.
Love the question and answer on the eBay advert.. Q: if she comes with the car I.ll have it 03-Dec-08 A: Hi, the only problem is, she is now about 67! are you still interested? Cheers
BTW Twin HS6 SU carbs

Ok, more pics! Havent done anything to it as I'm still looking for a new shell... The whole body is as bad as the pics, but the interior is great... bit of mildew and dead spiders and thats it.

Ok, bit of an update. A member of the allegro club offered to swap a less rotten project Allegro for my equipe, so the old nail has gone down to Hampshire and its place has been taken by this... Yes, its an estate. Series 3, 1.5 twin carb 43K and very good bodywork, as far as allegros go! The new owner of the equipe is a nice fella and it seems he will actually DO something with it rather than just allow it to annoy the neighbours like I did. The "new" agg thats replaced the Equipe is an all round more straight forward project that I should beable to both stand a chance of completing AND annoy the neighbours. Its a dissapointment to not beable to do anything with the equipe but atleast I mananged to save it from the scrap man and it seems to be in good hands now. Ill start a new readers rides thread for the estate when ive had time to take some new pics...

Only just seen this. A rare BL slice of tut indeed. Wonderful. My 2-door non Equipe has a front valance cut off an Equipe that was my mate's. T'was rotten so he's also given me the interior and alloys, which I intend to fit at some point. Only 8 left? Rarer than a blower Bentley!
