Nice find there, here's my mate's (in Droitwich, not a million miles from you IIRC) Damage has been repaired now! XE-powered, 230+ bhp and goes....well, as you'd expect, it's soilyerpants quick. Overall Class C winner in the CMSG Stage Rally Championship in 2004. He's got quite a few spares kicking about I think. Keep us posted!!! That car was yellow the last time I saw leaving my brother house after he had sold it!! It was him and me that put the XE engine in the car along with a tranx box, general rebuild and the wide arches plus all the wiring etc !! I was the co driver and of course my brother drove, that was one brutal car in every sense ( and attack on all senses ) Last we heard of the car it had done a great job of demolishing a set of hefty fence posts and had to be rather straightened ! Great to see her still running

so i was unsure weather to do a head gasket while the engine was out, but after abit of thought i reckond it would be a good excuse for a de coke. after finding the right sized socket for the rocker cover bolts i got cracking. finding no black death at all Check me being all 'organised' and stuff ;D took the block outside for a clean with some better degreaser, and I'm impressed with how well its come up, going to knock some paint up and get it looking like new again done the same to the head Ready for the gastly task of regrinding in valves tomorow
