awesome progress mate! that is one mint example of a sunbeam, i took a page from your book and pulled my rear axle over the weekend. keep finding little odditys on mine, like it already has plates on the lower trailing arms... Keep the mojo rolling!!!
If weldings like tattoo'ing Then my car has some really sh*t ones
on the bottom or the top? those arms are like the mini subframes etc. in the way you cant weld them anymore mot man doesnt like it. if there on the top there lotus ones? or theyve been strengthened possibly. get us a pic and il soon tell you. i have a pic of my mates lotus arms on my phone
so i was unsure weather to do a head gasket while the engine was out, but after abit of thought i reckond it would be a good excuse for a de coke. after finding the right sized socket for the rocker cover bolts i got cracking.
finding no black death at all
Check me being all 'organised' and stuff ;D
took the block outside for a clean with some better degreaser, and I'm impressed with how well its come up, going to knock some paint up and get it looking like new again
done the same to the head
Ready for the gastly task of regrinding in valves tomorow
oh dear chaps progress is slow. the sump is on and all painted. and I'm just lowering the bill with my boss before i spend 100 quid on the head getting new valves put in and the seats hardened for unleaded. i stripped and painted my steering rack, fitted new boots and checked everything else. will get pics soon. ive been playing with my other retro for now, finally had the brown beast painted Before
