That's fred Hildago's car. One of the first of the "new wave" of volksrods that drew a lot of attention. If I remember right he is an artist or something.

Really into these, gonna have to build one as my next project... just need to find out more about greek regulations wrt open wheeled cars.

The Stink Bug, superb. I believe the website is simply Volksrods.com - if you go through the Tech Tips section there's loads of metalwork videos and links too. I've always wanted a go at the backyard metalcasting they show!

It takes very little to get them wrong, I've seen some pretty awful examples.

This 'rodded 'Hebmuller', for example.



It really should work, but there's something I can't put my finger on that spoils it for me.

I think its the rear quarter proportions.
