Today: Left quarter and lamp wiring. Numberplate lights Rear bumper ends Door Mirror (From an early Patrol) Scuttle top, wipers, bonnet, sill plastics, new towball, some work on doors and of course another test drive. Panel alignment could do with improving in the future. Need to find a washer bottle for it tomorrow, and fit some side windows and rear floor, and she's nearly ready for MOT.

Fantastic build, you gotta love the old range rovers! Best thing Imo is the fact you've managed to keep the whole thing looking like it should be that way! Wonder what would happen if you stuck a 1UZFE Lexus 4 litre V8 into a rangey??

The actual feel of it is very good, theres 3 things bugging me Tyre noise. This thing howls with these knobblys on. Going to change the wheels and tyres. Intake noise. The thing sounds like a fighter jet when the turbo really gets going. Amusing for a minute or two but really needs a proper airfilter box sourcing/making. Some rattles to sort such as tailgate. Performance is nothing to shout about but I have not started to work on the fuel system yet, so the power is probably only 130bhp, same as standard petrol rangie. I plan on injector pump mods and hopefully a propane system too. First things first, some nice big WHEELS! Got three more of these to polish up . I love em but.. they dunnarf stick out!

I have a spare set of wings and rear quarters, was wondering whether to make them into some crazy wide wings. Anyways.. wheels (8.5 x 15 with 265/70/15) Quite like the way this has turned out. Drove it with new wheels, gearing is much nicer and what a great driving position.

Oh man I am loving driving this about now. Even fitted a heater and a boost gauge today. Turbo starts to be heard at 1100rpm, starts to produce boost at 1800rpm and is at full boost by 2100rpm (0.5 bar) Only teething trouble is some air getting in the fuel pickup on hard corners due to the tank originally being for petrol carbs. I am now running a air filter box which makes it much quieter, but the straight through exhaust still lets the turbo whistle be heard!

That looks good on the road! Bit like a mini monster truck love it! Have you tried it off road since you did the work? do you ever intend to? How long has it taken to get it looking this epic?? lol
