Unbelievable magnetteman!!!!.That is an awesome build,I like the stretched doors.Fancy doing something like that on one of my other projects,as well as a subtle roof chop.Even got the book that shows you what to do.Probably beyond me tho.I got the floors in and finished today so the drivers side is almost ready to build back.Photo's to follow when i get the camera to work. Wilko, only other lump i can think of is the triumph 2500,only cos i got one wedged in a marina of mine.

Funny you should say Triumph, 'cos I've always had a strange desire to shoehorn that engine into an A55/A60 of some description!
I bet that's a bloody tight fit in a marina - the bulkhead end of a marina transmission tunnel is a bit bigger than the 50's & 60's 4-pot stuff though, I think you might need to do some cutting and welding to get it in the 4/44 ? Be very very cool though!
The other engine I would consider is a Datsun L24 - primarily because you can pick up C32 Laurels so cheap at the moment, they are all injected but there are loads of carb combinations that will fit them.. Electronic ignition & a 5-speed box / 4-speed auto are a big plus as well.

A manual C32 got passed up by everybody on here earlier in the year - 250 quid with a month T&T left, still plenty turning up!

WILKO,i only just got rid of a '63 A60,and up to selling it i also had the idea of putting the triumph lump into that with a few body mods.Trouble was i had too many projects and ideas and not enough time and money.I'm having to concentrate on the 5 i've got and actually get them finished.I always liked the idea of an 60's/70's sleeper.
