Hello chaps Looks like I'm gonna have to get a van for work and I'm thinking transit! I'm gonna modify it a bit and make it stand out because I can't leave any vehicle as I find it!- first port of call would be the wheels. Does anybody know which alloys/wheels would fit on a transit apart from the tacky efforts on eGay? Ta, Rob

there is a transit van forum, i think your limited to adapters or hunting down wheels from the 70's in most cases though.

There´s a thread on the transit Forum with wheels that you can get but most of them look gaff. If yours has got the heavy duty(twin wheel) axle then you´ve got no chance without getting out the lathe mate!

You could use Tourneo rims.

You could use Tourneo rims. Ford make a few different alloys for transits, they're all nasty looking and to small, another thing to bear in mind by the way is tyres, if your gonna put any weight in it or use it as a camper keep an eye on the tyres weight ratings, if you need to use comercial tyres they will limit your choice of wheel size, my ol man got stopped a few weeks ago at a VOSA check in his bedford rascal camper and they checked his tyres for the load rating.

A set of late Tourneo 16s would look cool on a MkIII though?

there were some slot mags on eBay not long ago went for like £25 the set of 4.
Places like Raceways and Image will do PCD to order and people like Weld, Centerline etc. will all do special order PCD although you will pay extra for them and probably have to wait a while. Weller and Revolution will probably supply odd PCD as well or at least blank wheels for you to get redrilled

Thanks for the advice fellas, think I'll probably go with the wellers cos it's all about the dish for me! Had a look at the transit forum and the best option is probably to get a set of 8x15 landrover wellers and get them re-drilled to a transit PCD. Kinda like these- ot these- Does anyone know how much it might cost to get PCD re-drilled and if there may be any problems doing this?
