Hello,
Just got myself a cheap daily - 1.8L Peugeot 205 turbo diesel, it's in really good nick and it's suprisingly quick (no really it is ... ) but ofcourse not quick enough! I've got an intercooler from a 200sx to stick on it and I can wind up the boost easy enough but I'm stuck on how to increase the fuel flow!?! It's not a common rail so don't know how to adjust the fuel pressure, any ideas?
Also if you've got other ideas of how to tune it that'd be great!

A popular tuning method for older diesels here is "screwing out" the fuel pump. Not sure if that's applicable to the 205 or not.

I've got a 205 TD and I know what you mean about it being fairly rapid. I found with mine that making it light made squat of difference as i has 3 people and suitcases in the car and it was just as quick as when it was unladen ;D so i guess you're stuck with tuning it.
Fitting the intercooler would be a good start as it doenst even have one ;D

The Lucas pump isn't as easy to tweak as the Bosch pump found in other Peugeot diesels. www.club-306.com/guides/306_turbo_tuningHave a look here for some tips, I reckon many of them will be applicable to your 205

Cheers for all the links they've been really usfull Right I've been reading up on all this lot and found out i've got the dreaded lucas pump so no running it on chip oil! On the club-306 forum it dose say these can be tweeked by tuning the screw behind the rubber grommet in the front. Just wanted to double check I'm on the right track!
