Now, you may be wondering why there are two cables. Well, I'm not using any kind of Idle control valve with these throttle bodies, in an attempt to simplify things, so the second cable is the original choke cable, to give me a manual fast idle control Cruise control without all the vacuum/electrickery gubbins! Must say this whole set up is looking pretty impressive.

Why no IAC valve?
Do you reckon it'll be done for RRG?

I don't run any IAC on my throttle bodies either, just needs a few seconds of tickling when stone cold but it'll idle all day then.

^^^ That's exactly why. For the sake of sitting stationary for 30 seconds or so I'm quite happy to offset that against simplicity. After all, I'm only really interested in it's performance flat out! lol One way oR another, it WILL be at RRG. Hopefully with all this elastictrikery gubbins doing what it should, but at last resort, I'll bolt all the carbs back on In other news, I did try to start it tonight. I tried, but failed. For some reason there's no crank signal reaching the ECU. It's not showing in Tuner Studio when cranking, but the ECU checks out with the Stim. Tomorrow shall be a day of investigation!

VR sensor backwards? Swap the wires and see if it's happier? Nail on the head! As the VR sensor wasn't marked, I'd (incorrectly) assumed it wasn't polarity sensitive. I was wrong. Did some more research, swapped the wires, and.........life!

So,
It's been a couple of days, I've had a 'time out' and after some fettling, it curse word RUNS!!!!!!!!!!!
Setting are 'straight out the box' and it's running properly rich, but, it's running!
Now the rich running at low speed could be down to the cam, but that will get dialled out over the next few weeks, but once you clear it's throat and get over 3500rpm, it's an absolute beast!
To say I'm happy, is a massive understatement!

Cheers for the cookie!
It's probably the most common issue with a fresh MS install - as you say, there's no clue as to which way round to connect it.
Well done though - it runs; that's the main thing!

The video doesn't really do it justice, but I'm still smiling from the sound this morning!

Couldn't help notice the CLARK C500 yard forklift truck in the background , will that be getting some EFI?

It's actually a Caterpillar V50 lift truck ;-) Perkins 3.152 diesel, so no efi possibilities. Lol

I took it for a little drive round the estate last night. It sounds like actual thunder!! LOL. No more videos now though, you'll all have to wait for RRG to hear anymore
