Welcome aboard - lovely looking 'tina. (side note - Dad had a carousel the exact same shades as the two tone grey in top pic next to yours). Hope the polybushing has cured the rear end replace every two years syndrome ;D

I will be going on sunday to sparkford, really looking forward to it.
Thinking about a 5 speed box now, hitting it with the lowering stick and poly bushing the front end. the rear bushes were done about 2 years ago and its still nice and tight.

nice usuallhy see them and they're grey qand silver not seen red that green irish one gets everywhere lmfao Now now... don't knock my friend richard's original 3 litre S, That's a damn fine car and he's proud of it. Well into his cortinas. op, i like your car a lot, much under-rated cars these things, specially over here in Ireland. Just sold my cortina p100pickup recently, but another cortina is on the cards early next year i think... probably a saloon like yours. Nice useful and sensible mods you've done too

Was me, I believe I have the only red mk5 in gosport, certainly with the RS rear spoiler. my car looks a bit better now as I have replaced the nsf wing and re striped it. just have to spruce it up for sparkford on sunday.
As for other mk5 'sThere is a yellow one that has now been painted satin black 2000 on bike carbs!!!, A beige mk5 GL, and I saw a goldy coloured mk5 crusader with superlites and a nice dose of lowering a few weeks back. thats about for mk5's I have seen around gosport. there used to be a estate with deep alloys around but I have not seen that for while. used to see it in asda on newgate lane.
Frankie
Thanks for the comments guys.

Thanks for the nice words about the car, Its not as nice as some of the others on the sites people read, but it is our only car and a daily driver, only been back on the road just over 2 years and it has just hit 100354 miles. It went back on the road with 79000 on the trip!!!! Done on a budget that is very tight but with a lot of love for these old cortinas. I have had over 20 of them in various states, some have been runners and some as breakers. But I love this car, its not much but its mine and I enjoy it. the only make and model I have come back too. something about them just clicks, maybe the changing of void bushes every few months has helped build it up!! God bless poly bushes!!!
keep posting your opinions chaps!!!

Love this shape of Corty, My Dad had one when I was growing up (2 tone green) and I always liked how it looked from the front, there is something 'menacing' about them Looks in good nick!
