My lack of home interwebnet connection is hindering this thread, but it does mean that I'm spending more time actually doing work on the car. Welder (finally) turned up yesterday so I'll be blasting round to do the last of the trim holes tomorrow, grinding back the weld on my wheel arches, rubbing more paint, priming the nasty bits... Basically finishing the paint prep ready for next weekend Also met a man that breaks Volvos at some motorway services to pick up a 740 front spoiler and a spare OS front sidelight/indicator thing. He was quite bemused by the car, and couldn't quite understand why I hadn't kept it standard, or why I'd want to paint it brown... Nice guy though

Getting there.
What brown are you going for? I'm really can't get the appeal of flat dogsh!t brown type colours, but metallics are nice. Porsche did some a fantastic metallic brown in the 70s on early 928s and Ford Roman Bronze is pretty good as well.
But if you like doodoo brown... well, hey, it's you car!

Yep, dogpoo brown, though this does depend on your dog's state of health, diet etc. Got lots done at the weekend, but it's going to be quite close getting it ready for next weekend.. I found some grot in the A Pillar, which set me back a couple hours, but it's fixed properly now

Been working every night this week. Not really done at all but I have to be realistic that it's never going to be a really good finish.. It'll look far better than before. Pics after the weekend ;D

Having looked through your thread, this things been a rollercoaster. Between the 244 front end, chunky bumpers and chocolate paint it now all just works so well.
I bet you're well chuffed with it?

if/when you register it with the DVLA for colour change mark it down as Poo Brown... brownie points if it comes back as exactly as you stated! ;D Looks rather good BTW... much better than silver/silvery black.

Useless Inc. It has certainly been a rollercoaster but overall there have been many more ups than downs. Chuffed is an understatement ;D JRKO, Money is always going to be the limiting factor on a project like this, but purchase cost is never going to be lower so it's an ideal time to go for it... Welcome to the forum HonkongPhooey, It's BS381C 411. The BS381C colour range is all the military vehicle colours SwollenPhil and Si, I must admit that I've already sent it back and had considered something like that but came to the conclusion that the DVLA are awkward enough as it is..

I really like how it turned out. Some early US-spec indicators maybe should work?
