Small update, yesterday I took the top mounts off as the bearing was basically doing nothing, the damper had less travel than it was meant too and the top nut kept coming loose. So to remedy that I took the top mounts to be machined so the bearing would sit in the correct place and the twisting action of the suspension wouldn't loosen the nut. Top spring cup before (you can see my quick fix angle grinding wasn't good enough lol) ![](http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a376/robin_xr4i/DSC00806.jpg) Top spring cup on lathe.... ![](http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a376/robin_xr4i/DSC00807.jpg) Top spring cup finished.... ![](http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a376/robin_xr4i/DSC00809.jpg) and bearing located..... ![](http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a376/robin_xr4i/DSC00808.jpg) How the car sits now! ![](http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a376/robin_xr4i/DSC00810.jpg) It's still botteming out the dampers so I definatly need stiffer springs, but the ride height is now where I want it ;D

I wonder why your kit came with the conical top mount and my kit came with the flat top mount?

No real progress on the car ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png) , just got some more bit ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) The new stiffer shorter springs have arrived. 500lbs I have a feeling they might be a bit over kill, but the 225lbs springs after extensive testing ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) just seem to be way to soft and with the ride height I just keep bottoming out the dampers and the tyres foul the top of the arch. ![](http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a376/robin_xr4i/DSC00836.jpg) I've been informed the dampers won't handle the punishment of the springs so I'm going to stick in some ep140 gear oil in them to replace the ep90 in them atm. As it's the thickest oil I can find, if that doesn't work then I'll get some Spax adjustable as they do front dampers to suit the 300 Series. Also got some cheap buckets, both are in good condition, very comfy and suportive too. ![](http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a376/robin_xr4i/DSC00839.jpg)
