How much does that red one owe you now? I've had 5 of these cracking little cars. Wish I could find a tidy one again now. My first car was C957GTA (opaline Mk2) and I think the last one I had was F64OHU (same red as yours).

Bought Quite abit more for the car over christmas This includes the 5 spoke RFX's off of minimadmotorman, thanks mate! A new sparkrite alarm as mine was knackered.. also the central locking interface for the alarm and a 5 wire d/s door actuator all this = to Remote Locking!! Also i have fitted some 6000K Hi/Lo beam Hid light conversions. They look brilliant! Some new floor mats for the car original metros ones in the front And a new fuel pump as mine sounds like a drowning cat :? The next thing I'm doing is changing the lights behind the dials so they're a differnt colour.. a mixture of red and blue i think Well i think the car had a better christmas than me

Just read the whole thread, this is ace, especially with the revos on... just need s to be hit with the stick! I recall my stepdad having a silver y reg one similar to one yours in the other pics back in about 1991. I think it had an issue with an oil feed, was starved and ended up being taken away with a knackered engine. Shame really it was quite cool with its pull out pioneer tape deck and shelf mounted speakers!

Lets clear up car terms: "Understeer" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car. "Oversteer" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car. "Horsepower" is how fast you hit the fence. "Torque" is how far you take the fence with you.

ACE! Good to hear your doing it properly. From my experience of sticking screwdrivers in Maxi valves, it leads to pressure being put in the wrong place, and subframes ripping appart. It was a touch rusty though, but looked bob on! (for about 3 days.....)

I cant remember what metro susspention is like. When Mini tubes are cut it drops the car by alot more than what is cut off, i don't know what the ratio is but be carefull not to cut too much off! if the worst happens you can always put washers in to raise it back up of course. How i wich id done the maxi properly, if i had i may still have it. it went from this... to this... at about 40 mph

Loving the effort and attention to detail. Don't suppose you have a spare Metro turbo lying around that you'd be willing to sell? Been looking for ages and can't find one. Preferably tidy and with tax and MOT. Thinking of a useable project...
