hi, this is my capri, since I bought it in february I have painted the grill and headlight surrounds,  repainted both bumpers, and tried to paint the rear archs a bit. i've got a set of pepperpots for it, and just bought a 5 speed box, heres a few pics of it.  got a better parcel shelf that what came with it.     today I took the interior out to fill it up with waxoyl, now its ready for the winter   Thanks Paul.. |

Picture 4, confidence in the handbrake then  Also, I always thought waxoyl went underneath on the outside? No experience with the stuff myself, just what I was lead to believe. So what are the plans for it? |

That mad pinstripe down the side looks superb, I once saw a 1.6 one with that pinstripe. Nice one!

thanks all, i filled up the sill s with the waxoyl, and just painted abit over the floors, doubt it can be bad for it though. the handbrake works fine, but i tend to leave a brick behind the wheel as its on the drive all week. i like the 4 spokes but prefer the pepperpots and they are a bit wider. the pin stripe is origional and standard on capri Cabarets  5 speed box going in soon. Paul. |

Your into old cars and yet you have no experience of Waxoyl? waxoyl with me, just mean paste it all over everything and get it into every little gap you can, i suppose that all you need to do. but i would expect everyone with a retro car would have got some waxoyl in it by now. my mk2 escort has about 6 litre of it in it so far need to put more in soon. |

Looks good. I love Capri's but it's just about the only car that SWMBO has said I can't have! I know I know, but anything for a quiet life Looks to be in really good condition too, nice find. |

I'm constantly underneath her anyway doing something or other. So I get a good handle on what's happening to the underside of her anyway. Besides, you have to learn about these things from somewhere. Mechanicals are more my thing anyway, though I'm learning about body work all the time. |

Brilliant. The 1980's has just been on the phone asking where their Capri is. Very nice indeed. Not doing anything to dampen my want for another however. |

been doing various things since i last updated. freshed up the engine bay  going to fit a 5 speed box in there when it goes back in. tinted the reverse lights slightly  decent parcel shelf  also got stainless steel 2.8 twin exhausts for £20, going to fir them to my pinto  had some great fun in the snow  engine should be going back in this weekend aslong as i can get a new cambelt fitted, but i've never tried it before. Paul. |

many thanks, loking forward to using it as my daily driver in the next month or two. got both pipes mocked up really like the look of it.  anybody know where i can get some exhaust mounts liek these from?  thanks |
