No plans to buy any more bikes in the future without selling something first. Just had a quote for the garage roof which is being paid for by my future father in law so he will need paying back before I have any spare cash. I would love the red audi coupe which is for sale on here at £395.00 but got to be roof first.. . then christmas, then the rest of the house by which time it will no doubt be September which is when I am supposed to be getting married! Me, getting married! It hadn't really sunk in until I just typed those words! Holy curse word!!!!!

looks great, you forget how spindly the frames were on the early FZ's though eh? When I was 13 (1993) my dad got back into bikes after my parents split up and he brought a grey import '87 FZR400, a year or so later he brought a '90 FZR1000 EXUP, same shape as the one you got the headlamps for your TRX from I believe, he had that a matter of weeks and then got a Duke 888, I've been into bikes for years, and currently have a GSXR750 and a Crescent BSB Spec GSXR1000Keep up the good work!

Good old EXUP thousand eh James. I love 'em, 1st time I went over 150mph was on a G reg' EXUP back in the early 90's. I will never forget it. PHIL! I am well out of touch with all things relating to RS ownership but I do recall your beautiful 16i being for sale a few years back so guessing you don't own it any more? My garage is 5.5M x 5.5M which I think is the maximum without planning permission. All I have ever wanted is a double garage so I am well chuffed with this especially as I built it myself. ;D The actual house is a dump but who cares! Fireblade in a RRN I think Phil, one of the very early ones. This is me & it at the Ring in 2010, 2 laps before I fell off! Oops.

You are correct that I did put my 16I up for sale. But it is still in my garage for now might even do a few shows this year. Garage is a nice size as you say who cares about the house get the garage sorted first. Your bike looks to be the same model as mine which is a 1994. Yours looked good there was there much damage after the off? Your more ambitious than me, when I think about track days I think about paying the bills straight after. Here is a pic of mine

Yours is a year newer than mine Phil. Nice rear seat cover. Mine is a K reg' but it has bigger pistons, gas flowed head, Dynojet kit & Akropovic exhaust. It's nearly 1000cc with dyno readout of 135bhp at the wheel which is bloody good for an old blade! When Honda quote 118bhp for the original bike it would have been measured at the crank. Damage after crash was all on the left, fairing, mirror, engine casing, seat unit, screen, indicator, tank, frame rail dented & holed!!! Still able to ride it back which was a huge relief as I couldn't find a company who offered breakdown cover for bikes older than 15 years. Had plate welded on the frame rail which came out loads better than I was expecting. Replaced all the bodywork with Repsol stuff off ebay. Not nearly as nice as the Rothmans colour scheme but it's straight. Original paint was by Dream machine to a very high standard so I was fairly gutted about that. I bet you love polishing all that ally! ;D

Is that the fairing from China? What is the quality and fit like? I was thinking of getting a vfr400 but the fairings are genrally rough on them and thought that China ones maybe the answer.

I recently bought a fairing set from 'parts4bike' on ebay. They are Hong Kong based and the quality is great. £293 delivered. Thier range is huge too.
Had the chance of an FZ750 years ago but passed on it. After seeing what can be done with them, kinda regretting it now.

No my panels are all original Honda from a bike that was being broke for spares. I saw the Chinese stuff & was tempted but some of their feedback was a bit worrying. I have just fetched the FZ from my mates leaky garage today. Now safely tucked up with the other 2. Mercman, they are getting pricey for a decent one but project FZ's are still very cheap.. . knowing how much I have spent on mine which is still not finished the pricey ones don't seem too bad. I've got 2 others if you still fancy a cheap project!? ;D

Thought I would update this to say the bike is now finished. Taxed, mot'd, insured, being used & everything! Engine has been out more times than I can remember thanks to puny M6 exhaust studs snapping. Now running with a stainless 4-1 Micron exhaust system which I repaired & modified to suit the bike. It goes very well for an old gal but the rear sprocket is way too big resulting in frantic gear changes on acceleration but top speed of around 135mph. Should be closer to 150 so will look at fitting a smaller sprocket at some stage. Here she is, my baby.

that is really sweet. what diameter are those brakes disc's? I've got a yzf750r and the forks are in a bad state, so I'd like to swap them for R1's, and I don't like the look of the R1 wheel (not 90's enough)
