I used to see a couple of RS2's round here, loved the fact that too everyone else on the road it looked like a boring, old, Audi 80 estate, but I knew exactly what kind of beast was under the bonnet. A more observant bystander would have noticed the big red calipers saying PORSCHE on them in white letters ;D GORGEOUS in the blue as well modern alternative, Passat R36 estate or more retro ones......... Passat VR6/G60 as mentioned: stolen from VW vortex via google, on vette rims absolutely lovely imo Subaru Legacy Turbo estate in its original form loved these! finally a bit bias as well T5R estate would do the job

blues and twos work really well on dark coloured RS2s. nice mesh grille hides the blues. strobes in headlights and the sidelights. makes progress down m3 very swift.
however you could tune a standard 5 pot from a quattro and dump into a 2.3 quattro for far less than a good RS2 will set you back.
or just by a volvo t5!

I know they did the Pajero Evo....but what about a highly tuned Mitsy Evo engine in a Mk1 LWB family spec Pajero/Shogun/Montero?? Has to be a Mk1....and has to be LWB. ^^ This ^^ with a 450bhp fire breathing, monster turbo'd, intercooled beasty powerplant!

They did a vr6 Passat estate and I'm pretty sure you could buy it it in povo spec but with the vr6 engine. I saw a w8 badged one of these in north london a few months ago, [later model without the swage line] didnt look like a made up car , dirty, Tatty and a few parking dings, driven by a old boy, [Older than me]

this thread is right up my street, i love sleeper/hi-po wagens!! stageas are pretty damn cool, as are the vr6 syncro b3/b4 passats. never been a fan of the audis myslef, great engineering but i just don't like the looks. don't forget the amg/brabus special edition w124 mercs though, the e500 wagens are pretty cool, mostly cos of the single figure production runs

My father owned one of these that someone had stuck in an SRI lump. I seem to recall he ruined it on the Kielder Forest drive.

Pontiac did GTO-esque A-body stationwagons. Olds did 442-esque wagons. Chevy did SS-esque wagons. Buick did GS-esque wagons. You could get most all the killer motor options, and several were instantly dragraced, as the thinking was the Kammback and weight over top/behind the rear wheels was an advantage over the sedan versions. Of course, Pontiac also teased with the Firebird TransAm wagon too.

There never been an official Mercedes-Benz 500TE or a Chevrolet Impala SS wagon would be a stunner From Italy I would imagine the Lancia Thema 8.32 SW. Another contender would be the Mitsibushi Diamante/ Sigma station wagon with the 3000GT drive train, creating an VR-4 version. And a Jaguar XJ-12 would be a high performance station Mine favourite, the Porsche B32
