I had a BL car with a talking digi dash, i think an Italian one would be even worse. :S I think you'll have more luck using an LCD display and a computer and making your own.

seen some mk2 digi dashes too, only probs is always too much money for me, its daft enough having uno turbo guages in the mrs UNO that do nothing.

Two different dashes shown. The 'old' pic showing it all illuminated has four vertical gauges across the bottom, the one in the eBay sale only has two.
Still dead cool, but obviously from a lower spec model than the one shown lit up.
I'm currently building up a small collection of digi-dashes for some future projects. Got an Astra one and a Senator one so far. Would also like a Celica Supra one and a UR quattro one if I can find one for 'sensible' money.

My mk1 uno didn't have a digital dash then again it was povity spec. One dial and a vehicle diagram that didn't do anything. Viglia dash.
I like that a lot as it goes with the mad switch gear. Makes me miss good old Nora Batty

AE86 ones are very similar to the Celica Supra ones, and seem to come up a bit more often - they come in on some imports but I think the drifty boys tend to swap them for proper dials. I did a bit of looking in to them a while ago, wondered if they were plug and play with the MR2, but never found an answer. I'll keep an eye open for you I absolutely love the Italic speedo LCD on that fiat one, the leaning over of the digits makes it look like you're going faster ;D

I had a BL car with a talking digi dash, I think an Italian one would be even worse. :S Reminds me of the '84 Vanden Plas Meastro my Mum had. She was the second owner or a two year old car. I recall being expert at knowing exactly which spot and how hard to thump the door cards to get the electric windows to roll down. The voice synthesis had only one mode; chatty. Beyond repeatedly reminding you you fasten your seatbelts, it would occasionally alarmingly exclaim it was out of oil or else overheating. It would also like to occasionally (optimistically) claim you were doing 288mph. Nice motor with real personality and drove ok too. Wonder if there are any still about. Like this but in blue: EDIT: ooh here we go:

Old 1980's electronics do go a bit ga ga with age if thy're not fired up regularly. My BigTrak just goes round and round in circles whenever I switch it on now, on a/c of the fact it sat in it's box for years untouched. Shudder to think that a shonky Italian digi dash might make an Uno do the same... ;D

I had an MG meastro twin carb, so not only did it have the dodgy talking dash that wanted to talk to you for the whole trip, but the dash would quit working at random, an dthen come back on a bit at a time, it also drank fuel, had no grip and suffered horrible torque steer. Mine looked like this, they were dirt cheap second hand as no one really liked them, you'd get one for the same money an XR3i cost that was ten years older. I only bought mine to rob the twin Weber 40DCNF carbs off it.

gots love the 80s, Digi dashes are fantastic and fitted to loads of wierd stuff.
so i'll mention a couple that have been forgotten.
Suzuki SA310 some Micra 1.2S the ones with the bodykit. some fiat Sedici tipos Lancia Y10 Nissan Sunny coupe.
these are the ones i've come across in cars i've owned.
i bought my carlton gsi expecting the warm glow of a lcd display, but it was analogue. oh how i cried.

Why is it I get a mental image of an elderly Italian talking dashboard going loopy and sounding like this when you get in the car?
