So the V8's had all gone and Max needed more space. Is this what he would ride?? Filming of the Delica finished last night and I think I'll keep it like this for a bit. Well....until the weekend. Many thanks to all those who helped out over the weekend including (but not exclusive to) KFW, Grunty, Butterz, Rich, SkinnyLew, B8D, Sleeperviva, Bratman, RF Chris and anyone else who came along and lent a hand (it was a real blur for me so apologies if I missed you off the list) A MASSIVE thanks must go to Dan (VIP) for putting me up on Sunday & Monday night while I was down in London for the filming. The true spirit of Retro Rides came shining through in getting this motor built on such a ridiculous timescale and helping out along the way, Many thanks everyone. ;D More photos to come

thats what I wanted to see hard as nails!!! hope you drove round london like that!! Sure did. The police loved it. Seriously! VIP can confirm that they took quite a shine to it and preferred it to their riot van...they also confirmed that is was perfectly legal to drive around with the screens on. Awesomes! Here's a shot of Dan driving it around which shows what it's like from the inside. This didn't help his desire to own a Delica.

In 2008 a unit was set up by a man with a passion for cars, many wanted to join the unit and what it stood for. These men promptly escaped from a maximum-security forum to Area 52. Today, still wanted by the forum, they survive as welders of fortune. If you have a film shoot...if no one else can help...and if you can find them...maybe you can hire...The A52- Team I do have an apt picture to insert here but I cant get to my camera yet

Pretty darn cool. Or hot. Or what would it be in a post-apoc world anyway? Whatever it would be, it is that. Except for the spanky clean halogen, it looks appropriately grimey.

Holy crap! I thought it looked good when it was just offered up but with everything else this thing is amazing! I would be tempted to roll it like that everyday 8)

Bruce: the pioneer of the ultimate survival vehicle!
That looks mega mate, truly astounding. I see what you were talking about on the phone too, the location looks amazing too! I'm glad my 'mishap' didn't cause too much delay in terms of the build.
Will we get to see the film, or it for the Yank execs only?

Chris, your deviation wasn't a problem from my side - you & Lucie's health are far more important than some fly screens on my car When a get chance I'll be making some proper brackets for the side screens. The windscreen one is bolted in place (5 mins to remove) but the side ones are currently cable tied on. Once some proper brackets are made then I'll probably roll it looking like that (although it'll be painted camo green at the weekend! Maybe I should have gone for matt black after all??) The housing estate is in Elephant & Castle - probably about 2,000+ apartments all abandoned. According to one of the producers there are 40 residents left on the whole estate but you'd never even know they were there. The place is quite eery and very reminiscent of being in 28 days later! I'd LOVE to go back at night and get some proper moody shots in the dark. As for the film itself, it'll be sent to the Hollywood execs but there will be a UK screening which (according to the boss man) I will be invited to. I'll also get a copy of the DVD. It was low budget, being filmed over four days but from what I could see the end results should be pretty spectacular. The few clips I got to see as they were downloaded off the camera looked awesome! My car is only in a few shots, but some of the action secquences leading up to my vans appearance were really well put together. I can't wait to see the finished thing!
